Unaired Quits
I'm watching the season 7 Boss and Employee episode and a team practically disappears during the Purple People Beater. I'm wondering if they ended up quitting or if one of them got injured. The latter might make sense because I can understand why they wouldn't air that.
Any other examples of teams/contestants just disappearing mid round?

Re: Unaired Quits
I think I've noticed that in the past. Of course it could just be the fact that they don't focus on the randos in round 2, but often some of the unnamed people seem to disappear. I remember reading a lady from Spring Wipeout saying two people quit before the Scarousel, but they may have been replaced if they quit in advance and two is a bit noticeable.
In round three is a different story because each contestant is a bit more important there. Of course, in a teams episode the players in round two are just as important!

Re: Unaired Quits
This is a bit off topic, but I guess it also relates to editing. Sometimes on the Sweeper in S1 and S2, they can cut around in ways where someone falls later than they actually did (i.e. Tiny Dancer, Milkman), or you sometimes even see people who were previously shown to fall still standing in the background (or an empty pedestal where someone hasn't fallen yet). I think an example of the latter might be Travis and Jesse in S1 E1, but I'm not as sure about it.
Sometimes it makes sense for them to do this I suppose, and you wouldn't notice it as easily on a live broadcast. But I think it is a bit interesting to notice these things when looking back, haha

Re: Unaired Quits
I never knew they switched the order of eliminations on the Sweeper. Clearly I’m just unobservant. What does that do for them? Seems a bit weird as it’s not like doing that can change the results and it makes the editing messy. I think I remember being confused about Jessie and Travis in the Sweeper, so I may have known of that at one point but otherwise had no clue.
Another branch off topic and it really important, but I remember in the Hollywood episode someone seemed to just fall off their pedestal in the background. Not sure if they lost balance or quit - or if I’m misremembering! One of the Johns mentioned it but it was brushed over.

Re: Unaired Quits
I was rewatching Season 5's Winners and Losers episode a few days ago, and the second round in it is a little interesting. In the last minute or two of it, it seems like at least a few people who didn't make it are just... not present. They could always just be out of view, but it might be a possibility someone had to quit. One person you don't see during this while for example is Brogre. I wonder how long this round took in filming?
