Re: I'm Hoping to Compete on American Ninja Warrior 14 - Advice Please!
Yes, I can understand how it's easier and better for them. Just frustrating as someone who is medically unable to get it (or at least told several times not to, I guess). Plus, I'm not sure how I feel about them "forcing" it on people - I know obviously you don't have to compete, but meh. I'm just not sure. Either way, we'll see how things go! The comments on Ryan Stratis' recent Instagram post are interesting to say the least

Well, strangely enough I was still able to submit the application even when I answered "No." to that question. It's possible they'll tell me I have to get it if they do approve me, but for now at least I'm able to throw my hat in the ring.
And whatever happens, I spent too much time creating that video to not at least do something with it

I hope they don't force it. I want to compete on Junior, and the tr normal one when i can, and I'm never taking the vaccine.

Re: I'm Hoping to Compete on American Ninja Warrior 14 - Advice Please!
Yeah, my fingers are crossed but I'm guessing they'll require it as soon as it is approved for 5-11-year-olds. Except, that isn't on NBC is it, so maybe they won't require it. I think especially with kids that age it's just not that necessary. And with someone like me who's already had Covid two months back, getting the vaccine right now would serve me no purpose.
If they're concerned about having people withdraw again, well, maybe it's time to let people stay in the game if they're not feeling sick (as would usually be done). In the Instagram debate a lot of people are saying it's not really necessary for athletes at this level and being countered with comments like "Well, Daniel Gil was forced to not compete, so competitors can be impacted." The important distinction is that it's their own (arbitrary) rules that got him, not him feeling too bad to compete or something.
Speaking of which, I'm not sure Daniel Gil will be back with this rule. Just a hunch but yeah...
