Wipeout Zones for Two

As mentioned in the review and throughout the season IMO if they weren't going to combine two seperate runs they should have redesigned the Wipeout Zone so it is designed for pairs to complete simultaneously. As with the qualifier it would mean some obstacles they tackle individually before their partner also tackles them, and others they tackle togther.

It could also add to the "decision point" idea, which they really built up pre-series but in reality has just been deciding between the Lollipop and the Fries, if there was a point in the Zone where one person had to do one thing and one do another.

With that in mind thought it would be an idea to look at how the zone could be adapted to work with two players completing it together, rather than doing half each. I'm going to largely base it around the current zone but with some changes, but would be interested in your ideas too - whether new ideas or reworking previous zones for a two player format.

Wipeout Zone - Pairs

Blob Launch - we know this works in a pairs format and we know it has been used as a zone launch, so it is a good way to start things.

Vertigo - this is the first decision point in the zone as like currently only one player will complete it, but the twist is the other player will have to release the bridge before they do. They will swim to the platform after Vertigo and climb it, having to hit buttons on the way up to release it. If they miss the buttons the other player will have to hit the button in the middle of Vertigo.

Leap of Faith - same as now, but both must do it. One will jump on one arm and the other jump the opposite end. They will then have to cross positions before dismounting.

Triple Threat - I think the final obstacle should be something they complete together, so they cross the finish line together. Reworking Triple Threat slightly so the shapes are much wider to allow two people on, with the obstacle supported on both sides so fixed within the water rather than on the wall.

That's it really - I just think if they are (against our better judgement) sticking to the team format they should have updated the Zone accordingly.

I do like your ideas as opposed to the current system. Makes it all make much more sense.

I don't have many ideas of how to rework previous Zones for this format, although there are a lot of things that could be made wider so players go together.

But really, it'll be for the best in so many ways if they scrap this team business for the next 20 episodes.
