Re: Betting Battle (Season 8 Episode 9)
I'm hoping that ABC will see the potential in the show and will consider bringing it back. It's looking like TBS just can't afford to put as much money into the show as ABC could. I'm hoping TBS lets Wipeout keep the money they were using for Coronavirus protocols and that they put all of it into the course. I'm also hoping that they either cut the last 5-10 episodes from each season or give us a second course. Repetitiveness is going to kill the show.
One thought I had is that maybe TBS could do something like the Total Wipeout Takeover. ABC would pay for the course and would air the show on their network with the Johns as hosts. Later, TBS would air the episode with Cena and Byer commentating.

ANYWAY great to hear that the dirtiest show on network TV is back to hitting our screens. In the face. With a boxing glove. But fear not my fanatic forum friends, I hear more than my fair share of this program blasting from our TV room.

Yeah, it'd be awesome if ABC picked it back up, but I'm not sure this first season has helped their case honestly. They probably could make a much better (and more varied!) season with their budget, but I feel they're not really seeking to, and the lack of acclaim for this new series will mean they're not very motivated!

Re: Betting Battle (Season 8 Episode 9)
As long as ABC have Holey Moley they won't be interested, and now TBS have revived it the show won't be on ABC's radar for a revival on their network until memories of the TBS effort fade.
I suspect had it returned to ABC the prize would still have been cut to $25k but they'd still be a healthier budget for the show itself. I do fear though some of the choices are actually (un)creative choices by the producers rather than solely budget related - as we've said time and time again they could have had 4 openers rather than 2 with minimal additional cost.
