Re: First True Trailer!
I just saw a teaser (posted in the community discord), the "ladder" we saw in the zone is indeed a ramp, so it would seem as if the skip rule is indeed no longer in the zone.
We also seem to be getting maybe possibly Double Bubble Trouble, in what looks like the first water position, so definitely multiple obstacles and/or a B-Course.
Also for those of you curious- the music in the first look uploaded to TBS is Straight To The Top by John Coggins, Steve Strings, and Dave Bassett - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc16ht0npoA

Re: First True Trailer!
I'm glad we're starting to see more starts (especially one as good as DBT). In season 7, someone who I'm assuming was hiking took a picture of the course before zone/sweeper had finished construction while the Qualifier was filming/testing. This photo was taken/uploaded in March.
Because of this, I'm assuming that the B course won't actually be filming until March and that the qualifier will finish construction this month. I think everything we've seen so far is in the A course. It's important to remember that we wouldn't be seeing any of this if the entire block wasn't done filming. The season 5 course B didn't finish filming until like 2 months before the episodes aired.
Just to move the discussion along before we get the next trailer, I'll just give a quick wishlist of what I'd like to see in this second block.
Starters - Half the stuff from season 6 would be amazing here. The Wipeout Dump, Pork Choppers, Turbo Snail Fail, and Killer Croc could all easily be stripped of their themes and put on this course.
For the recurring obstacles, I could easily see them bringing back the Tongue Twister and slapping John and Nicole's faces on it. Hopefully this would come with some new variations for the water tongue.
For the final obstacle, I'm hoping they give us something new. I'm hoping that either the third or fourth obstacle is something brand new. I'd prefer the last obstacle to be new because the third obstacle was usually way better so they'd have better obstacles to bring back.
I want an entirely new middle round.
For the zone, the Scare Chair, TFoD, Blockbuster, SPoD, DSotM, Spinergy, Twisted Falls, and the Bounder Pounder are all obstacles that I'd love to see return.

Re: First True Trailer!
Well, this is all very intriguing...
I still don't know how to feel. While I expected them to bring back a couple of classic things, having the previews be more rehashes than genuinely new stuff is a bit of a letdown. If they just brought back the Bubble Trouble or just brought back the Psychedelic Snowglobe, I wouldn't mind (except for the fact that it's a SNOWGLOBE in a Summer series ), but most things? Also, the Poundabout and Rumble Room are from the same course! I'm not saying this is the case, but some of this makes it appear that they just studied up on bits of a few (later season) episodes and built obstacles in a similar vein. At least Poundabout is a good obstacle and Rumble Room is alright.
I've only seen one starting obstacle filled out with Sweepers (the Nutrcracker-looking one), and it doesn't seem too bad. Better than the main obstacle itself unfortunately
Round Two looks a bit like a modified Hangover, doesn't it? Bold idea to take on one of the less successful second rounds and make it work better, but it might've been better to go a more traditional route (jumping over stuff) or come up with something completely original. Hangover is another season 5 obstacle.
Really disappointed in bringing back Smallsy and almost every Big Balls fail seeming to be caused by the Motivator. There's proof that they were truly fans of Wipeout: The Afterlife (the last few seasons ). Smallsy isn't inherently bad, but I would expect them to drop that twist as it grew repetitive and overused.
I like the dynamics of Nicole and John Cena. I still really want the original hosts, but these new people seem like they will bring it to the table. Having them in-person in the Zone is kind of weird, but I don't mind too much. I always expected the whole episode to be "presented live" when I was younger, so this brings back a bit of childhood innocence Although it'll be weird now specifying that they're on-set for the Finals (as the Johns always gave the impression/pretended they were on-set throughout). So yeah, I've actually warmed up to that, grown away from most other stuff I've seen
Still not sure why they couldn't just have the old people back though - I thought they were appealing to a younger audience with John Cena (don't know why I thought that, but he's more known by the younger generation), yet they've actually gone and made it PG-13 John Anderson said they forced Henson to hold back on some of the funniest stuff due to the rating, so they could've given the OGs a chance to use crazier material instead of bringing in new people. I wonder what the "D" in the rating stands for. I know the "L" stands for "Language" (which was also there in the original show), but no idea for the D.
Actually, let's see if I can look it up. Oh, it's "Intensely suggestive dialogue". Hope it's used well and not just stupidly!

Re: First True Trailer!
I'm not entirely hopeful of a second course, especially as Holey Moley usually films in March so they need to get that in place.
Is possible though the TBS twenty episode commission isn't across one series, so we may still get two courses across 20 episodes, but the first 10 (which I think will air sooner rather than later) would be on one course. TBH I'd probably prefer them to split it that way than alternate episodes from course to course as used to happen.
All in all though as TBS won't have the budget of ABC and I doubt the budget is much higher than the final ABC season I wouldn't be surprised at one course across 20 episodes.

Re: First True Trailer!
I don't think a third season of Holey Moley has actually been ordered yet. If it has, I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed at the Australia course due to the coronavirus.
Edit: Casting has started for the third season of Holey Moley. However, I still think they'll have time to film the B course. Holey Moley doesn't use the zone pool and course B filming usually wraps around April anyways.

Re: First True Trailer!
A new commercial was put up on the community server!
https://streamable.com/80tiat
This confirms the Petrified Forest Ziplines, Mashmallows, the other side of Poundacarnage being hoops, and that the Rumble Room will have variation!

Re: First True Trailer!
That trailer boosted my excitement a lot!
The Mash-mallows look a lot more possible in the thinner form. Really unusual-looking background with the shirtless man and dollar bills all over the place too!
The Ziplines look good! A nice, simple way to end the round. Would be good going through a Sweeper/Windmill some weeks, too.
Also, the wipeout on the Snowglobe looked brutal.
