Ninja News
In these uncertain times, I thought I'd make this thread to keep you guys updated on ninja news both now and looking forward to the future. Hope everyone is doing well 👍
ANW:
All tapings cancelled due to Covid-19.
NWUK:
Failed to secure filming location in time last year so no new series - repeats of series 5 airing on Saturdays at 6:30pm on itv.
NW France:
Filming cancelled due to Covid-19, if situation clears up in time we could get a September filming, otherwise there will be no new series as Denis is unavailable for the rest of the year due to filming commitments.
AuNW:
Filmed in March without an audience just before lockdown. Rebecca Maddern missed the first two heats as she was isolating - aussie rules footballer Shane Crawford stood in for her. Mega Wall returns, Power Tower in heats and semis, $400,000 main prize. It is looking increasing likely this will be the only new ninja content this year, apart from a possible Sasuke tournament on New Year's Eve as has become tradition, unless the situation improves drastically before the end of the summer.
I will try to keep you guys up-to-date as the situation continues to unfold.

Re: Ninja News
Another topic to add to my depression
Jk, and good idea to establish this now, so we're less confused later.

Re: Ninja News
Ninja Warrior Germany filming in Cologne (rather than the usual Karlsruhe) from today for the next 4 weeks. Format changed this year:
• 5 heats rather than 7
• The heats are now just one stage with 8 obstacles - Mega Wall returns
• 20 contestants advance from each heat to the semi-final
• Two fastest each heat compete on Power Tower for speed pass and cash prize (don't know if this is still going ahead)
• Two part semi-final with 100 contestants, top 50 advance to final
• Two part final with 50 contestants
• Due to the situation, all episodes will film without an audience
• The course is being run from right to left this year

Re:
The reruns of Ninja Warrior UK rated really well for ITV so I think it's probably saved the franchise here for another series or two at least.

Nothing physical to show you guys but itv is planning a series 6 of NWUK for 2021, more info coming in Autumn.
Also Ninja Warrior Germany is currently filming its kids version and they confirmed the air date for its release but can't remember it off the top of my head.

Re: Ninja News
I wonder if they're wearing masks in the kids version? Not that I care about that show, just curious how the world is reacting
Glad to hear NWUK is a go.
I had a weird exchange with Joe Moravsky on Instagram. First, I had responded to someone saying "Is it true Ninja has been cancelled for this year?" I (admittedly uncharitably) responded "Well, they couldn't film this Spring so... yeah." This recent stuff has shortened my fuse even more lol. Anyway, Joe then responded "@brianvansmith no it's not cancelled.". I responded "I know it's not cancelled permanently, but you mean that it's coming back this year?"
I can't actually see it coming back this Summer as Joe implied, and I thinl he just misunderstood my comment and thought I meant it was cancelled for good. It's still weird though, and a tiny bit of me wonders if there will be some kind of special this Summer that Joe let out of the bag. He does have a record of that...
But yeah, it was most likely just a misunderstanding.

Re: Ninja News
I forgot that the Power Tower was being rebuilt there I mean, it's not bad, but it takes way too much of the episode. And are Australian episodes even two hours long? I can't remember honestly.
Rest of the show looks pretty samey to before, probably will still have a lot of repetition
