Episode 10 (27th November)

10th episode party! emoticon

Excited to see Knock Knock and Palm. tree Trip for the first time in awhile.

It's funny how now we haven't seen Slip Way in ages! Same with the hill games (except Wet Paint). And of course Avalanche is massively underused. Hope to see them all soon.

Also good that Velcro Fly appears to be taking a break.

Did you know that seven olives only have 37 calories? (Hopefully you guys get the same ads as me, or that'll make no sense emoticon )

This. Episode. Was. Awesome!

Okay, the first ten minutes were the exception - I think Great Wall and Show of Hands are both just really dull.

They didn't even advertise Show of Hands last time, probably because it only featured for like a minute. I also really don't get the elimination in the first main game - I guess a lot are gone because 20 play it instead of 10-or-so. Still really disappointed as I thought they were finally breaking the trend of the second game being a multiplayer game. I also wonder if they insist on starting with a multiplayer main game to make up for not having a Slipped Disks-esque game? I'm probably overthinking it; it's just weird though.

High Rollers was also quick, but good. Same with Knock Knock actually, tho it was less muddy this time.

Turtle Hurtle was where it got really good - that has to be the best outing yet. The action is really good, if only they didn't have to add that annoying running sound-effect over it all!

Wet Paint was finally done the right way! It's always exciting when they start using the proper rules of games (hopefully they'll do the same for Sumo next time that appears), AND they had two guards at the top, which is a nice touch. It does seem to be more like the Thai version now, as all of the losers just slip around at the bottom emoticon Still better than the weird version though! I just hope they add a timer for us.

It's good to see Skipping Stones used again. Loved the suspense on the guy who went across really slowly and then was finally tipped off by the last stone! I somehow saw it coming, too emoticon

I still think they need to stop the palm tree from swinging back at them, but today it did actually lead to some funny moments emoticon My favorite was the guy who slowly rolled off the platform though haha.

Bridge Ball had more people fall off near the middle today, made it feel much closer to the original version! Still think the music is too "fun" for Bridge Ball but then the whole game is much faster-paced.

Dominoes with the big gaps again! Showing two winners in a row might be a first (outside of Sumo) and it definitely helps mix things up. And even better, they finally showed three winners! Although the last guy's win was a bit suspect emoticon

Not all of the games were perfect, but they just came together to make a great episode IMO.

As a couple of closing points, the contestant named Takeshi was fun and I the contestant intruding in the Dominoes interview was funny (wow, I'm being too generous today emoticon ).

Just too bad we don't get a sneak peek for next week!

An English speaking contestant called Takeshi emoticon

The guy on the High Rollers who was losing his shorts was from last week emoticon

Nice to see Palm Tree Trip and Knock Knock return. Resting games for a while really is a good thing.

I'm kind of glad we didn't get a preview of next week as it bottles up some excitement...let's hope it's worth it.

They had one contestant in Home Run two weeks in a row two.

I've had a hunch that they may combine some clips from different episodes (which is a bit emoticon ), but if so they haven't made it very obvious.

It's mainly with Velcro Fly (because the General and the assistant General type guy keep swapping during that game, along with the color of the suits) and Wet Paint (as the guard at the top sometimes switches.

But I'd guess they just edit them in a weird order and use different-colored suits in Velcro Fly.

Resting game definitely helps. Now I really look forward to Slip Way Velcro Fly and the multiplayer hill stuff. Heck, I may start looking forward to Slippery Wall at some point if that comes back emoticon

I agree, it's more interesting not knowing the games. BUT it means there were no surprise games this week since I knew which games were coming and we didn't get a glimpse of next week. Of course, I could resolve that and always have some surprise games by just not watching the trailers ever emoticon

I do hope they give us some warning over the credits for the last episode of the season.

I thought this was a decent episode, but it wasn't the best for me. emoticon

I think there were a high number of games played where the goal is to cross from point a to point b and not falling. There were not enough games like sumo rings, blueberry hill, roller derby and a couple of others where the game is a little bit different. Most of the games played have also been a little bit overused, though palm tree trip has not appeared for 5 weeks.

The funny coincidence is that the two games from this episode that have not been played for many weeks are on the forum header now. Those are of course knock knock and mushroom (palm tree) trip.
