You can rest easily for a few more months as we finally have a confirmation that Sasuke (and likely all of its obstacles  ) are returning.
We can use this topic for news, too, as it draws nearer.

Apparently they've extended the Fish Bone wth a couple more arms, which is something.
Let's just hope we get a new obstacle or two in the Second Stage - where it's massively needed!

Filming was cancelled yesterday due to weather meaning all stage 1 contestants are running today. I believe filming started at noon (Japanese time) to make up for the lost time so we will have a daytime filming.
With regards to the fishbone, the extra arms are on a different axis so I guess they could spin faster or even in the other direction. Other than that, I believe the stage is unchanged (apart from a 5 second time increase). Inui did however hint at a new (or at least modified) obstacle in every stage - we'll see about that!

Oh wow, that sucks. I didn't consider that since the weather has actually been perfect here recently!
Yeah, the extra arms are even a different color, which is weird, but kind of works in my eyes. Spinning in the opposite direction would make it like halfway new at least!
I guess I could see the new/modified obstacle thing since we know of the Fish Bone. Let's just hope the Stage Two change is substantial!
They could also go and just alternate things - bringing back the Iron Paddler in place of the Planet Bridge after the next Kanzenseiha is one example.

Apparently there were three new obstacles (one in each stage), including the Fish Bone Kai (yep, it's confirmed!).
Sadly, according to Twitter, the Stage Two and Three obstacles were deemed too dangerous to use in the bad filming conditions.
Who cares about safety, we need new obstacles 
Aside from being disappointing, this does raise some questions.
Will they be scrapped completely now, seeing as they sound pretty intense? I suspect they'll try to build them next time, but then I would hope they wouldn't give them away in this tournament when providing the purported explanation of what happened. Of course, if they are scrapped for good, I want to know what they are!
Why do these two new obstacles appear so much less safe than the others? I mean, they have Backstream (I assume), how much more "dangerous with bad weather" can you get? It just seems odd that it's the two new obstacles that were deemed unsafe.
So will there be gaps in the course, or were the old obstacles quickly slotted back in?
I'm intrigued now!

I always get confused what I've written/read on here and what was on SasukeManiac.
I saw that the Rolling Log might be starting? I'm happy for something new (and pretty challenging!), but I don't really want that red and yellow insanely-fast spinning thing in my Sasuke. 
Praying the Stage Three concept is a completely original concept, though I am expecting a rehash if anything, sadly.

That's certainly what it looks like, but I'd prefer Rolling Log to Ring Slider any day. The fact that there's actually been a change is most important - just a shame it's a returning obstacle.
Regarding the supposed new Stage 3 obstacle, I've not seen it in any photos and the obstacles I have seen seem to suggest that Stage 3 could be unchanged. I don't mind this coz it's the best stage of the lot right now imo, but a change would have been nice.
