Do you mind posting what it is here? 2D2Will asked if we wanted to hear what it was like (on SMF), I said yes, and he never came back emoticon

It'll be interesting, but who does it? Top 2?

 emoticon emoticon emoticon

The tickets in Cinci literally sold out in record-time (all while I easy sleeping, too! emoticon ), so my chances of getting to see the region live are now looking low emoticon

I'm checking tickets constantly in case they release extra or something, but arrgh emoticon I know a ton of people won't even use their 4 AM tickets anyway, but I cooooould have emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sorry I've just remembered you asked this lol but I never replied.

You probably know by now but I'll say anyway: top 2 fastest ninjas from qualifying go head to head on the power tower for the 'speed pass' which means they automatically move on to Vegas.

In the city finals, the top 2 ninjas face off on the finals version of the power tower for the 'safety pass', which means you can redo stage 1 or 2 if you fail.

Losing the power tower has no consequences but winning, as you can see, has HUGE rewards.

I have no doubt this'll be exciting but it does kind of wrecks the message of the show, being 'ninja vs course' and 'only one shot at the course'. I think I will like this coz it freshens-up the show but I'll have to watch it to see.

Oooh I hadn't heard that emoticon emoticon

I kind of expected the free pass to Vegas, but a retry on Stage One?! Interesting.

As I said on SasukeManiac, im glad to see they're changing things up, but the changes they've made in the past couple of years do muddle up the competitor vs. course bit.

Also, On-Camera Audiences responded to my nagging email and said that another wave of tickets may be released! Sounds like they very likely will be, so I'm constantly visiting the page now!

Season 11 Mega Wall rules: (spoilers)

Once a Ninja attempts the Mega Wall, they cannot return to the 14.5-foot wall.
Ninjas have three attempts on the Mega Wall
Attempt #1: $10,000
Attempt #2: $5,000
Attempt #3: $2,500
The Mega Wall is still only in play during the Qualifiers. It is not an option in the City Finals.

Re: Season 11 of American Ninja Warrior on NBC

I saw the article on ANWNation with the obstacle lineup (it contains some spoilery pictures, and this review contains some spoilery comments).

Doorknob Drop: Meh. I was impressed when I originally heard about the Doorknob Drop, but was disappointed by how it ended up looking and working in LA. I don't see that it's an obstacle worthy of this ep (maybe something like the Spin Hopper would be better), but I guess it could be interesting. Head-to-head makes it hard to follow and those events often get skipped anyway.

Striding Steps: Head-to-head makes it hard to follow and those events often get skipped anyway :P Plus I actually really liked the simplicity of the old Striding Steps challenge (and having a time to beat), and I find that more exciting/less trite than racing. Still, cool that it's back.

Wicked Wingnuts: Is this challenge in Stage Two now? Or more likely the image in the article is just a photo from the regular season. Can't tell! I'm glad this one's back, it's a good challenge, but afraid it'll be a bit dull, like Flying Shelf Grab became on its second year.

Super Salmon Ladder: Predictable, but it does produce some impressive feats. So I guess this is the only one that's been on all four years, since the Wall, Shelf, Pegboard and Jump Hang are gone (and I guess that was true last year, too).

Spider Climb: Really? Just put a Spider Climb in the real Stage Four! I thought it was dull last year and I had a feeling that my feeling was mutual with the producers, guess not.

Double Dipper launch: I think I'm most looking forward to this one. It's sort of like the Big Air Drop challenge from a couple of years ago, in that it's random, but in a good way. Curious to see how it works.

Just finished watching the all-stars special yesterday - thought it was actually really entertaining, and that's coming from someone who has never been that bothered by these specials. Haven't started watching season 11 yet but hoping to get access in the next few days 🤞

**EDIT**
I've now watched the LA qualifiers, once again I really enjoyed the episode, maybe it's just because I watched both episodes in half-hour chunks rather than straight through but I honestly think the editing and content of the episodes were better than usual - more fast paced and generally enjoyable overall. Great to see DC on the power tower and he was SOOOO CLOSE! It was the first time I wanted Kevin Bull to fail, just to see David on the power tower - how it worked out in that regard was the best it could have. Zuri was one million % better than Christine. Can't wait for Atlanta 🙂
