Re: Sasuke 36 Will Air on New Year’s Eve
I haven't actually been on here since it aired. A whole 12 days...
Anyway, WHAT A TOURNAMENT! With such limited changes I thought it would be a shocker but turns out those changes made a huge difference.
I liked this stage 1 last year and I did again this year. The new Wing Slider was a nice change and spiced up an otherwise aging obstacle (even if it was purely due to licencing reasons). Some great comebacks from Ryo and Yuuji. And YES NAOYUKI!!!
Stage 2 was stale as. Needs a change. Drew's fall did bring some drama though - feel sorry for the guy but then again these things happen. And YES NAOYUKI!!!!!!
Stage 3 was good, especially with Tada, Ryo and Yuuji reaching the final ledge of vertical limit. No suprises with Yusuke but got to take my hat off to Ben Toyer for making stage 3 and ... beating Drew!?! And of course, well done Naoyuki.
Live Final stage was epic but that rope blowing in the wind combined with his slip on the salmon ladder blew Yusuke's chances - see what I did there!
Overall, great tournament an easy Softbank/10

Re: Sasuke 36 Will Air on New Year’s Eve
I agree about the Wing Slider (so that’s what it was called!). I’m hoping Inui introduces more sponsored/contract-deal obstacles because that will force him to change them once the contract expires
Maybe Spider Man will sue them for the Spider Walk and we’ll finally see something new in that position? Of course I’m being facetious, but that probably truly is our best hope for Stage Two
Stage Three was very exciting but that was down to the contestants, for the most part.
Stage Four felt strange, but I appreciated the change in the end, made things feel so different!
So I loved this tournament too, but I think a lot was down to the competitors/random circumstances, which I REALLY hope Inui doesn’t start relying on In the future, he needs a few more changes AND to bring in some more interesting competitors (namely, joke competitors).
Last but not least, can any explain SoftBank to me?
Was it an ad that was playing constantly? I wasn’t there for the stream, so that all confuses me

In short, yes. It was mainly towards the end of the program, especially before Yusuke's Stage 4 attempt which would come on for about 2 seconds every minute. Also, they got 4 of the all stars to do an add for it which was just sooooo cringey and showed Yamada failing rolling hill as well.
And I know its a bit off topic but is this a new emoji:

Re: Sasuke 36 Will Air on New Year’s Eve
Oh dear, that does sound cringey!
isn't new! He was our old "forum mascot" before the Darumas took over a few years ago. In short, Monkeee is a character from a show Dan watched called "How to Monkey Baby" (it's Japanese), and he went on to help us host some of our video series on here. To be honest, I never got to know that much about him, as the show had ended by the time I joined-up, but I still held the title of "Monkeee's Manager" before I became the Moderator
I did add some new smilies on Christmas but Dan didn't like them

Re:
Basically what Takeshi said. It only really started up during Yusuke's Stage 3 run, so yeah.
