Re: Sasuke General Chat Topic
I didn’t realize I never announced it but Sasuke 35 is taping this week.
Inui has been tweeting about a new “area” for the First Stage and “another new thing” (probably not another obstacle or he would also be raving about it, though). Having only one (maybe two?) new obstacles isn’t the best, but it beats zero! Hopefully it’s completely new and original and not taken off of Kunoichi or something like that!

Re: Sasuke General Chat Topic
Surprised no one has posted anything about SASUKE 35 even though it aired just over a month ago.
What did you guys think of the new obstacle and time limit in stage 1?
I actually quite liked the shorter time limit - faster pace, and I also quite liked the new Dragon Gilder, even though it was a complete copy of the double dipper.

Re: Sasuke General Chat Topic
Stage 2 still needs improvement though. It has had exactly the same boring obstacles for 3 tournaments and it's too. easy

Re: Sasuke General Chat Topic
I was ou of town so posting about it kind of slipped my mind. I'm the only one here who seems to watch it anumore (besides you, of course) so I kind of lost motivation to post about it.
I'll go and copy n paste my review from the Sasuke forum onto here!:
7/10. I loved that they had NEW OBSTACLES. i think this is always an important factor to me and it helped that both of them were brilliant (with a couple tweaks possibly necessary which I’ll get to)! It was exciting ending Stage One with the Wall, much better than the Lumberjack Climb as I began to tire of it. I’d say keep it last until the next Total Victory (hopefully that’s not for a few tournaments.
There was a ton of stuff I loved about it. All I didn’t love as that:
-Stage One and Stage Two both had color-schemes I wasn’t big on. Sure it’s not the most important thing but these two combined are enough to subtract a point
-I didn’t love the break being added to the Cliffhanger. I also think the Dragon Glider was a bit problematic in that people could do everything right but still not have great momentum to reach the second bar (heck, it almost get Drew!). I think the moving of the Planet Bridge’s foot Wallis a bit unnecessary. The second two are small things but I’ve subtracted a point factoring in the Cliffhanger rest.
-Still didn’t love the editing. Not the worst but still not the best. Subtract a third point.
I did love the tournament, though (I see 7/10 for this to be pretty good FYI).

I didn't mind the light blue and red or Stage 1, but I agree that the bright yellow of Stage 2 was too bright and didn't work for me.
Quote: I didn’t love the break being added to the Cliffhanger
It's a shame it had to come down to this, but the UCCH + VL combo was too tough, even for Yusuke, so the bar was needed. It would have been better if they hadn't got themselves into this mess in the first place, and it did kind of make the results of 32, 33, and 34 almost useless.
Overall, I would give it an 8/10, agree with your points about the editing, nerfing and colour schemes. Also hated Stage 2 - repetitive and boring. But with all that said, at least it had new obstacles, the shorter Stage 1 was more exiting and fast-paced (I was also getting bored of the lumberjack climb, and the pointless swing to it). And of course the final stage attempt was good to see, and hopefully it will make Inui realise that stage 2 needs updating.
