Re: e-Sports, anyone?

The EU LCS will start Week 8 this Thursday, that means there's only Week 8 and Week 9 remaining! After that, the remaining matches of this EU LCS Summer Split will be the Promotion and the Playoffs.

Before going into the standings at the end of Week 7, let me explain some things.

What's the Promotion tournament?
The EU LCS Promotion is a tournament that takes place usually a week after the regular season has ended. The winners will get a place in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split. The teams that participate are:
-8th, 9th and 10th position teams at the end of the EU LCS regular season
-Both champion (Misfits) and runner-up (Millenium e-Sports) of the Challenger Series (it's like the 2nd Division Premier League)

How does it work?
Four matches take place in the Promotion Tournament:
-One on Friday, the runner-up of the Challenger Series and the 10th position team in the EU LCS regular season will face each other in a best of 5 match. The winner will go through to one of the matches of Saturday, the loser will get seeded into the 2017 EU Challenger Series Spring Split.
-Two on Saturday:
-The 8th position team in the EU LCS regular season will face the winner of the Friday match. The winner gets a place in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split, the loser will go into the final match for the last chance of getting a place in the Spring Split.
-The 9th position team in the EU LCS regular season will face the champion of the Challenger Series. The winner gets a place in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split, the loser will go into the final match for the last chance of getting a place in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split.
-Another one on Sunday, where the losers of the two Saturday matches will face each other for a last chance of getting a place in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split. The winner gets a place in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split, the loser will get seeded into the 2017 EU Challenger Series Spring Split.

What are the Playoffs?
The EU LCS Playoffs are the final matches of the season, where the top 6 teams in the regular season face each other for a chance of being the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split champions and being automatically qualified for the 2016 World Championship.

How do they work?
The Playoffs are usually played in different weeks. Teams from 3rd to 6th position in the EU LCS regular season will face each other for a chance of being in the semi-finals. 1st and 2nd position teams are automatically qualified for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will go to the final, the losers will go to the 3rd place match. The 3rd place match will take place in the Tauron Arena, in Krákow, Poland, in August 27th at 5:00 PM (GMT +2), and the final will also take place in the Tauron Arena, in Krákow, Poland, but in August 28th at 5:00 PM (GMT +2).

How does a team get qualified for the 2016 World Championship?
A team can qualify for the 2016 World Championship by three ways:
-Winning the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split final
-Having accumulated most championship points at the end of both the Spring Split and Summer Split
-Winning the EU Regional Qualifiers, taking place from September 3rd to September 5th
