Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Oh no doubt there'll be a winner. I can't see them finishing a series without one. This is never going to follow the proper Sasuke format.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Forgive the analogy (and remove it if it's inappropriate).
Being from the UK and hearing this news, then finding out it will be based on the American version rather than the Japanese version? It's kind of like finding out a beautiful celebrity did a porno, but then finding out it was some fully clothed creepy fetish thing instead of what you were really hoping for.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Can't say I know the feeling of your analogy, but I get where you're coming from! Uh, so to speak.
There doesn't seem to be any more info on the show at the moment. Not that I can find anyway.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Don't really have much to add about the content of the show itself, always nice to see something being made up North though rather than down in London.
That being said, I have the slightly biased viewpoint of being a Northern based TV worker! I suspect there will be some audience applications nearer the time of recording.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Do they actually film much in Manchester? I know there's that big new TV complex thing, but it still seems like most stuff is done in London. Or has moved to Elstree now that the old BBC studios have closed (rather than up North!).

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
A fair bit is done over at MediaCity, off the top of my head you've got Mastermind, Dragon's Den, University Challenge, Countdown, Jeremy Kyle and Match of the Day are the 'regular' shows. Other things come in fairly often, The Voice record all of the non-live shows up here, then move down to London for the live shows.
Most things that used to be filmed at BBC TV Centre have moved to other studios in London, quite a few new shows have started up here now though, before MediaCity started up there was very little being made here, 3SixtyMedia (Granada studios) was completely dead with JK, Countdown and Uni Challenge being the only things that were ever in.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Ah, that's more than I thought filmed there then.
I know Elstree (the main studios, and the BBC one) is a lot busier these days, as that's where my sister usually works. A lot of the stuff that was filmed at BBC in London seems to have moved there now, plus several ITV things too, which seems a bit odd. The Chase is in Elstree now, and I think that's where she did Keep It in the Family too? Probably, seeing as they're both Bradley Walsh.
We're going well of topic now lol. Never mind. Something to talk about until they actually release more info on Ninja Warrior!
