Re: takeshi's castle dvd question
Tell me about it! Recently, I noticed the 2 DVD boxsets on eBay, but they were asking for $125 (£94-odd) for each one! The DVDs have been re-issued as of a couple of days ago, and they're asking for a little more!

Re: takeshi's castle dvd question
Interesting but why are they so dear? it's an old game show I would expect at least £20 for one and if you did buy them from japan you would be for shipping too

Re: takeshi's castle dvd question
The postage is free if you buy them from Amazon.
They're probably so expensive because it's not a mainstream release. They knew they wouldn't sell thousands so it needed to sell for this much for it to be worth their while making it.
I ripped the plastic cover on both my DVDs, and broke a douple of the holders that the discs clip on to, when I dropped them. Pissed me off so much that I was tempted to buy some more. I've resisted it because of the price though
Got to say though, while I am glad that I have them, there's not much on there that wasn't in the Challenge series. It's mostly just a collection of games, of which there were only two (Shoot N Loot and Parents and Kids Quake) that where cut from the Challenge eps. The rest it just a few silly Takeshi and Higashi bits and strange Battlefield Reporter stuff.

Re: takeshi's castle dvd question
The original price. I preordered them before they were released. Can't remember how much exactly but the pair were over £100.

Re: takeshi's castle dvd question
Most of the music is changed because of the copyright issues, so you wouldn't hear the proper music anyway.
