I've not watched Countdown for a while because it's too awkward now, but watching for Craig.

Colin Murray is taking over but only on a temporary basis for now of 75 episodes. Hopefully they can work it out so he can do it permanently - I get the impression C4 want him and he wants to do it so it's just making it work for both parties.

Oh dear. A positive test for regular guest host Colin Murray means we're currently going through rotating guest hosts, Les Dennis this week and last, and Jenny Eclair next week. Inevitable Family Fortunes gag when Les started: "So, let's meet the families- er, the contestants! Force of habit!"
So now in a weird callback the show is going through what was originally planned before Richard passed away, when he was originally going to have surgery and a stack of guest hosts was lined up. After shutting down production over the summer after his passing in a mark of respect, there were a few auditions for hosts - including Noel Edmonds. When he turned down the full time gig, Channel 4 gave him Deal or No Deal instead - before the job went to Des Lynam.

This is off-topic, but speaking of rotating hosts, does anyone know if Jeopardy ever is going to get a permanent one now? They've been switching awhile to suddenly have a regular host again, right?
