Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
Recently, I decided to check Google Earth to see if it's updated recently. And to my surprise, I saw that it had actually updated with pictures taken during construction.

One thing I did notice is that there is no sucker punch pool. However, I'm not too upset about this seeing as we've already gotten 4 seasons with the Sucker Punch and most of the other obstacles that went in this pool, while still interesting, weren't that varied when it came to the actual falls. I'd love to hear what you guys notice in these pictures.

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
If only they'd waited a couple more months until the new course was built. So nice though to see it stripped back to basics without the Beastmaster or Holey Moley set obscurring it. Other than losing the additional third round pool and as you say the sucker punch (which came and went anyway) nothing has changed at all really.

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
I was predicting the worst when I saw they weren't going to be bringing back the other pool. However, there's only 1 middle round anyways so we'll still probably get plenty of variety.
One thing I noticed is that while this does look like the level of theming we saw in the later seasons, I'm remaining hopeful that we aren't going to be seeing any smackwalls.
We can see 2 different starters in the water pool. The first one looks like a few pedestals you walk across while avoiding a bar. Judging by the fact that it's attached to an arm, I'm guessing that it's going to swing. I can't make out anything in the second obstacle in that pool.
Next up we have something that looks like Total Carnage. I'm guessing this will probably be like the actual round but with something else hanging. Besides the fact that they look like the Total Carnage pedestals, I have no idea what's going on there. However, looking at the pedestals, I think that it could be like the Poundabout was in terms of variation.

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
I just looked up the set the other day and it was still Beastmaster Actually, I just looked it up now and it still is. This always happens to me on Google Earth though.
LS6, did you search for Sable Ranch (as I did) or enter latitude and longitude stuff? Trying to figure out why I can't see!
So they filled in some of the pools? I thought they left them all up. The square round 3 one was still there during Beastmaster anyway. But those pics are very exciting and I'm feeling nostalgic already! I definitely thought of Total Carnage as well when I opened that third pic. Curious if it is inspired by or a new contraption, but looks to be a round two!
The Sucker Punch pit is the smallest thing to lose, but if we are stuck with one Qualifier, I'd probably rather they keep it. Five obstacles instead of four means you see slightly less of each one.
So the starter is a two-parter ( ) in a similar way to the Faulty Bridge/Twister Mill? Cool if so, more variety.
The final Qualifier pool looks a bit smaller, here's hoping that forces them to get more creative with it.
So there's two round 2 pools and the darker blue one to the left is the Zone?
PS: Found this pic on Instagram. Looks like the classic ramp is back!

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
I had to use the time traveling feature on Google Earth Pro. There have been two snapshots since the Beastmaster one. I'm also pretty sure it was the Holey Moley people who filled in the rectangle pool.
I'm hoping that most of the starters are two-parters similar to the Faulty Bridge and Twister Mill. It'd definitely make up for the lack of a Sucker Punch obstacle.

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
After really zooming in, I actually think it might be a three part starter.

Sorry for the weird angle.
It looks like we've got that Wipeout Family Tree But Blue Thing, something else, and then that third obstacle. If this is actually a three part starter, that'd definitely make up for the lack of a Sucker Punch.

Then again, I could be wrong and that green circle could be nothing. We'll see if I end up looking like an idiot once the episode comes out.

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
Why, Holey Moley? Although maybe this new version would've left a pool empty anyway as Wipeout often did.
I guess I need to get the Pro version - I only ever use the website!

That IS interesting! If there's three obstacles it'd be cool if they could be linked together in some way (a certain color scheme or theme). Of course, I also wouldn't mind just a bunch of classic obstacles in a row considering that's all I've begged for on here for the past months

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
Honestly, I'm really excited for whatever that first obstacle is. Like I've said, it looks like they cross a few platforms while avoiding a swinging bar. If that is the case, there's no doubt in my mind that it will be an instant classic.

Re: Google Earth Updates Sable Ranch!
So like Fling Set but with gaps and probably a wider swing?
