It's one of few games where you can't really see anything in the background (I'm referring to the daytime version obv.).nondisclosed_email@example.com (Messup434)Mon, 01 Oct 2018 16:29:26 +0000 Re: Bridge the Gaphttps://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354198,from=rss#post354198https://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354198,from=rss#post354198I think Bridge the Gap was further towards the middle of the field as far as I can remember. Wipeout was further back towards the castle/Rice Bowl hill.nondisclosed_email@example.com (DuffDan)Mon, 01 Oct 2018 09:51:42 +0000 Re: Bridge the Gaphttps://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354088,from=rss#post354088https://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354088,from=rss#post354088I understand that there's only one real exciting part, though I didn't really mind since only about one person per ep got past it! My confusion is more down to changing the setting of the game, but Jonnie's probably right. Quote:He probably thought adding water to BTG would make the game better before combining both games to make Wipe Out. Was Wipe Out filmed in the Bridge the Gap pond? That actually seems plausible, but can't really remember at this point!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Messup434)Mon, 17 Sep 2018 03:27:02 +0000 Re: Bridge the Gaphttps://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354068,from=rss#post354068https://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354068,from=rss#post354068Yeah it seems like a way to improve that game that ultimately failed. I can understand why they dropped the game. Once a player makes it to the second board it's inevitably that they'll win. I can imagine some found it boring to wait for the board to spin around and have the contestant just walk to the finish platform. nondisclosed_email@example.com (josechung)Fri, 14 Sep 2018 19:45:09 +0000 Re: Bridge the Gaphttps://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354066,from=rss#post354066https://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354066,from=rss#post354066As seen in the subtitled Episode 67 in one of the MXC DVDs, Takeshi said he thought Bridge The Gap and Fish Food were boring. He probably thought adding water to BTG would make the game better before combining both games to make Wipe Out.nondisclosed_email@example.com (General Jonnie)Fri, 14 Sep 2018 18:22:36 +0000 Bridge the Gaphttps://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354064,from=rss#post354064https://bkeshiheads.runboard.com/p354064,from=rss#post354064I'm just curious if anyone has any theories/knows why they decided to move Bridge the Gap over the water, give it a better design and then ditch it after two times? I know building water Bridge the Gap was probably cheaper than a lot of the games they only build and play one time, but the more I think about it, the weirder it seems. You'd think if they upgraded the look, they would've stuck with that version for longer than the first, but quite the opposite happened. I guess my best theory is that they had some money to throw-around and decided the new version hadn't improved the game enough to keep it, so just scrapped it. Anyone else know?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Messup434)Fri, 14 Sep 2018 15:19:32 +0000
