I can't find it yet, but'll keep searching. I'm on my school laptop's "restricted mode" so they may have blocked the result I'm looking for emoticon

It's still up on YouTube, surprisingly. [url][sign in to see URL] Just a small heads up, the audio can be as much as 5 seconds behind the video at times, so yeah.

I watched the SM stream this year. I'll not say anything else in case it spoils it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Thanks for the link!! emoticon

And welcome to Keshi Heads. Have we talked before or something? emoticon

I'll watch it later today.

July 2nd edit:

I only got through the First Stage today. I'll update this post as I go.

I liked it overall. The backhalf of the course was spot-on in my opinion. The Dragon Glider was very exciting to watch (despite only being the Big Dipper version (minus the rope-ladder at the end)) and clearly difficult enough. Then the Warped Wall following that up was fantastic - it decided the ultimate result of so many people. Some people were running-low on time upon reaching the Wall but made it up on their first shot while others had 35-ish seconds when they got there, but ended up losing it all there. Then the Cannonball was great. I don't know why, but I love the obstacle. It's an exciting ending (particularly for the first run), and always gets me on the edge of my seat. I don't know why, but it's so amazing. LOVE emoticon

What I DON'T love is the Pipe Hold returning. It's so obvious it's there to put them into compromising-positions. I wouldn't hate it so much if they could run across Spinning Log-style, but forcing them to crawl across gives it a really strange feeling. Plus having the Pipe Hold and Shaking Bridge in a row all feels a bit too bridge-y. To shake it up I would do something really random and throw-in the Dance Bridge from Sasuke 10. Far more fun and would break the developing trend of only new Sasuke obstacles showing-up in Kuno.

The Fish Bone is actually pretty exciting so I'd keep it. It looks tacky as ever, but I appreciate that it adds some timing into the equation. One thing that felt wrong was #9 grabbing the scaffolding that holds the "bones" up. Obviously she would've done just as well without holding it, but I find stuff like that to be worthy of a DQ (especially to avoid future conflict around that stuff). I was glad she fell in on that obstacle anyway emoticon

Rolling Hill is boring, should go. Or just make the jumps bigger and grease-up the logs. It could become a really fun obstacle.

And was the lady near the end of the stage Yusuke's girlfriend? I didn't know he had one, so that's neat. Glad she did well emoticon

Aside from that, a decent hour of Kuno that was really only hurt by lame starting obstacles and a bit of confusing editing. Hope the next Stages kick everything up a notch...

Kunoichi's ratings have been going down since after Kunoichi 6, with a new low each time since Kunoichi 8. As much as I hate to say it, I'm pretty sure they're keeping the Pipe Hold.

But surely as well as gaining the wrong type of viewers the pipe hold also loses viewers who are actually watching for the obstacles coz so many people hate it.

I agree with the point that they won't get rid of it (and doubt anyone would stop watching solely because of it), but it's worth considering that the reason ratings have been going down since 8 may be due to the way they treat the competition and try to expose people.

Or maybe not; there are plenty of crazies out there emoticon

Just out of interest what would your ideal Kunoichi course be? Feel free to go out there with your choices.

I'll go first:

STAGE 1:
Dancing stones
Rolling log
Shaking bridge
Fishbone
Dragon Glider
Warped wall
Cannonball
(80 seconds)

STAGE 2:
Log grip
Spinning bridge
Jumping spider (smaller and closer jump than Sasuke and ANW)
Reverse conveyer
Wall lift
(70 seconds)

STAGE 3:
The same TBH

STAGE 4:
Reduce to 30 seconds as Okabe still nearly got total victory with her awful attempt

Very interesting replacements there, but still conscious of the budget emoticon

Stage One:

Quad Steps
+
Dancing Stones
Jump Hang
Fish Bone (rotating the other way)
Dragon Glider
Warped Wall
Cannonball
(100 seconds)

Stage Two:

Downhill Rings (two rings, each on their own bar that slide down to the platform at the other side of the gap, at a 25 degree angle)
Spider Walk (one moving panel)
Hammer Dodge
Reverse Conveyer
Wall Lift
(65 seconds)

Stage Three:

Propeller Bars
Wingnuts (just two handles)
Sponge Bridge
Body Prop (a bit easier than Planet Bridge, making-up for the Wingnuts addition and Pipe Slider buff)
Pipe Slider (slightly larger dismount)

Stage Four:

Yep, same course, 30 seconds.
