Re: Is there a way to watch the original Japanese or at least an unedited version of all episodes?

Sorry, now I'm late in responding!

Thank you for offering me help, I can't think of anything right now (except for every single word in the language, but nothing in particular emoticon ), but I'm sure stuff will come up when I start learning it, so it's great to know where to go for help emoticon

I don't think you'll need it, but if you ever need my help with a tricky English phrase or anything, I can try to help you read it emoticon

Yeah, that's great progress, latedep! emoticon It's awesome when you can apply something you learned to something you enjoy, as you did with the intro story emoticon

I've posted some comments on TC YouTube videos, by the way. And not gotten any responses emoticon

Could someone tell TBS Channel to air more than just the same 20 episodes? It feels like they've only been airing up to episodes 30-50 for the past 2 years.

Messup, thanks a lot for your offer, I think some thing could come anytime you know, good luck with your spanish learning when you start it again, and well you know where Im for anything like that =).

In relation to commenting in Takeshi's Castle videos and mention there the site, you are right its no effect so far, I did it a couple of times too, however a suggested video showed and its live streaming city pop radio you know thats online always (has been online any time I checked) but it airs music from the 80s and there usually are Japanese users who speak some English, you can try to visit the chat of that stream and see if you can meet the right person there, I mentioned the show and the site there a couple of times, hopefully someone comes from there too, link is this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_4k418q-F8

Its usually chill chat and enjoy the music but people can talk about anything, no restriction about theme or even language, good luck there and if you see me around remember to wave =).

Josechung, I dont know TBS channel, they are airing the UK version or the Japanese one? since it seems to be American channel I doubt its Japanese raw edition but thats why I ask, and if thats so maybe we can write to them, I mean many people writting from different addresses are more convincing than just one person asking.

TBS channel is a network in Japan that is currently airing the original episodes of Takeshi's Castle. Someone on the forum (I apologize for not remembering who) figured out a way to record them. Problem is they keep airing episodes 30-50 and missing out on the later episodes we don't have already.

I see, thanks for the information, then as said its a matter of contacting them, right? well at least it could work somehow, we could use translator to write email and send some emails from different accounts, what do you think? unfortunatelly I dont know well any Japanese people to ask for a verification on the letter but as I said in the above post there is a chat where many people go there to chill chat and some are Japanese who speak English so maybe we can ask there someone to confirm that our email is somehow well written and correct you know.

Re: Is there a way to watch the original Japanese or at least an unedited version of all episodes?

Im sorry to post again but if I understood it correctly, Latedep said that we have these episodes:

-Eps. 19-43 (Missing the specials)
-Eps. 45-52

So episodes between 30 and 50 are not fully captured yet? I know this might be me understanding wrongly the things, so as I havent found time to get all the episodes that you have kindly shared in the cloud I cant confirm how its.

Also about this email thing, I wrote a little base of email to contact TBS, as you know my Japanese knowledge is close to zero (aside from "save-Load" "Start" "GameOver" and a few more words I can recognize...) so could anyone please check this and see if translator and a few tweaks I did... created a more or less normal letter? if its correct we could all mail them with small variations in email and maybe they decide to roll new episodes =).

(As I said I used translator and few changes I could find in sites that explain how to write letters in Japanese so... maybe it makes no sense but I hope its more or less ok)

And as I said before in this live stream with chat there are usually Japanese users too, mainly because it airs Japanese music while the owner drives through Tokyo night, well just in case there is luck and you meet other fans from Japan or other places there, in fact i found fans from Argentina and Spain there, from Canada too, I mentioned the site a few times there so maybe there is luck some day soon =)

OK, so you're going to have to forgive me, as I'm still in the early stages of learning this, but I'll give it a go:

1. 親愛なる shinai naru: this is an affectionate way to address someone, like married couples would, not to start a letter.

To start a letter addressed to someone, this is what it would look like:
For example, if you were writing to a Mr. Tanaka, you would write: 田中さんへ "Tanaka-san e"

2. お元気ですか。"Ogenki desu ka?" is perfectly fine.

3. 私はあなたのチャンネルのTBSが本当に好きです。
Watashi wa anata no channaru no TBS ga honto ni suki desu.

It should be more like: 私はTBSチャンネルが本当に好きです。Japanese don't really refer to themselves as "you", except for married women to their husbands in an affectionate manner (this applies to anata specifically. Calling someone "omae" or especially "kisama" would be very bad.) So, "anata" is unnecessary.
Also, since it airs on TBS Channel 2, I would make that distinction. "TBSチャンネル2"

4. あなたが放映しているいくつかの番組に従います。
Again, "anata" is not needed. This sentence translates as "I will follow..." instead of "I watch some of..." like it should. A better sentence (I think) would be:
私は放映いくつかの番組に見ます。"I watch some of the programs on the air."

5.私は特に風雲!たけし城を好きです。
This sentence is fine, but replace the を with が, as を is used with verbs, and suki (好き) is an adjective. So more like:
私は特に風雲!たけし城が好きです。

6. すぐにいつでも別のエピソードを放送できるかどうかを知りたいです。 This sentence is fine.

7. あなたの時間と忍耐力に感謝し、それを続けてください。
No "anata" again, but don't use the other half of the sentence either (after the comma) so more like:
時間と忍耐力に感謝します。

8.さようなら!
It would probably be better to end the sentence with:
ありがとうございます arigatō gozaimasu "thank you very much"

Like I said, still learning, but these should be better sentences.

Good luck! がんばて!

This is what the letter should look like:

こんにちは,

お元気ですか。
私はTBSチャンネルが本当に好きです。
私は放映いくつかの番組に見ます。
私は特に風雲!たけし城が好きです。
すぐにいつでも別のエピソードを放送できるかどうかを知りたいです。
時間と忍耐力に感謝します。
ありがとうございます。

I wouldn't worry about addressing it to anyone in particular. Just copy and paste this in an email. (just the Japanese part, of course! emoticon )

Thanks a lot Latedep =), I was totally lost in that and I think that letter I built (I cant say I wrote that it was Translator and some copy paste from other sites) was sounding a bit odd, in fact it seems to me that Translator parts were more oriented to talk to a couple or in a very close way, I wonder... what Translator is thinking emoticon lol. I have looked into the phrases that you wrote and of course they look great, just I have one question, in the phrase about the TBS, should it be like that or has to be added a "2" as you said? my knowledge is tiny you know just Im checking all that you said in case I can learn a bit.

Josechung, thats great idea =), I was thinking about using email too but I dont know what would be better or if you direct us to the tweet you have posted maybe we can reply to it in a positive way (Im not a tweeter user so I dont know how to give the idea that its seconded by many), so before emailing to them the same letter or do anything I await what you suggest is best strategy.

PS As said I dont know if commenting or your tweet can be seen by them like a positive and seconded idea or maybe retweeting or somehitng, well you say what you think is better to do next.
