You’ve put a lot of thought into that emoticon

Don’t think I’ll bother to find the time to check this out then. Doesn’t seem worth it. Can’t say I’m surprised, sadly emoticon

Re: Total Knockout

I'm afraid I considered ways to make it more interesting more than they did emoticon And I only took 30 minutes to do it!

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, to be fair. Lots of things I'd change but I was surprised that the pace didn't feel too slow. It could definitely be improved but it wasn't dragging it's heels. That being said, if it's the same course every week then I don't think I'll be making too much effort to watch again.

Honestly, I might be the only person who was so disappointed. But I don't see how you can watch unfairness like this and not automatically hate the show. Plus the repeating obstacles and general crappiness week in, week out emoticon SO disappointed.

What was unfair about it?

Re: Total Knockout

(Sorry for taking ages to respond)

By "unfair" I don't mean that any competitor is discriminated-against/given less opportunity than others, but that the rules can allow someone who does rather well (making it near the end and then falling off most obstacles) to be beaten by a competitor who can't make it two steps into the obstacle.

For example, the lady who walked away with nothing in week one really deserved third place because she did well on the wobbly platforms obstacle. Whereas the cop and nurse(?), didn't do well on anything and still wound-up with money.

I understand it's probably the best system (as the obstacles are kinda tough), but when you can win money on a show without even clearing (or even doing well on) an obstacle, I have to question the rules the show uses.

I mean, if I was going last in the first ep, I could've just jumped off the platform at the beginning of each obstacle both times, climbed up quickly after each "fail", hit the buzzer and still have beaten everyone!

Okay, that may be against the rules, but it's still a rather flimsy format!

The only thing this show has going for it (now I've watched ep 2 and it's IDENTICAL emoticon ) is some pretty epic wipeouts. But really it just needs a better format and 10 rotating obstacles and it'll be a very enjoyable show.
