Trip to the Takeshi's Castle location

In the summer I went to Japan and thought I'd go and check out where they filmed the show. I knew there was nothing there but consider it a pilgrimage of sorts. I need to thank this site for helping me get there!

Congratulations and well done!

I don't care if it is an empty field (apart from when they do Ninja Warrior or any other shows) to just see if from a distance would be a big priority if I ever went to Japan.

The golf range is visible in the background during the last two episodes

Welcome, and yes that's a really cool thing to do emoticon

Love your blog entry on it too (and what you said about not taking your friends there is so relateable for me emoticon ), and how you used the map on the website to see where each game was!

We actually suspected that the Skipping Stones pool was actually the only one that was already there, because it was the only game played over water in the first episode. I suppose it could've dried up over the years.

And your blog is awesome, I've read a couple other entries already emoticon

Really enjoyed reading your blog!

Yep, even though it’s just an empty field it’ll still be cool to visit. It’s a place we’ve seen in screen for so many years, to actually see it for real would be so weird -but in a good way!

They have regular BMX activities there. I wonder if you could get into one of those?..

If I ever visited Japan then that'd be at the very top of my list. If I've spent three years on a fansite dedicated to a cancelled TV show, you know I'm a fan emoticon
