Cash Trapped

Surprised there is no thread about this!

Cash Trapped is a game show airing in the 5pm UK time slot as a summer replacement for The Chase. It's hosted by Bradley Walsh, and it's based on his own idea.

In this quiz show, nobody can leave until someone wins. At the end of it, someone gets the chance to escape with their cash, if they do, everyone else leaves empty-handed. If not, they'll be back next time to have another go.

ROUND 1 - LAST MAN STANDING
In this round, all contestants are asked questions and in order to answer them, they'll have to press the buzzer. If they get it right, they'll get to freeze out an opponent. If they fail, they'll freeze out themselves. This will continue until there is one contestant that has not been freezed out. That contestant will get in control of a board with six categories. They'll have to select a category, which has a question and six possible answers. If they get it right, they'll get £1,000 and to cash trap an opponent, which means they can't build their cash pot until the end of Round 1. If they fail, they'll cash trap themselves. This will continue until the board is empty and there are no more categories.

ROUND 2 - HEAD TO HEAD
A question will be asked to all contestants, in order to answer it, they'll have to press the buzzer. If they fail, they freeze out themselves. If they get it right, they'll gain control of a board with six categories, each one with six alternative answers and a question. When they select the category, they'll have to select an opponent to play against. If one contestant answers and fails, their opponent will get the chance to get it right. This will continue until someone gets it right. If they do, they get £2,000 and they cash trap their opponent. This will continue until the board is out of categories.

ROUND 3 - CATCH-UP
In this round, every contestant gets to answer a set of quickfire questions against a 45 seconds clock, starting from the contestant that has less money. Every correct answer is worth £500. If they are unable to catch the player in the first position, they will get cash trapped. The player with the most money at the end of this round will get the chance to escape with the cash pot they built in that show (and in previous shows if that contestant didn't get in first position before).

ESCAPE ROUND
In this round, the "escapist" will have 45 seconds to cash trap its 5 opponents by answering quickfire questions against the clock. If the escapist gets a question right, they'll get to cash trap an opponent. The opponents can also answer questions, but if they get them wrong, they cash trap themselves. This will continue until all 5 players are cash trapped or until the time runs out. If the escapist succesfully cash traps all 5 players, they leave with the money he built up until that moment and everybody else leaves empty-handed. If not, the opponents' money will roll over to the next show, and the escapist will start with £0.

Sounds complicated, but certainly intruiging. I'll have a watch tomorrow (not the one you linked to though - that's not working emoticon )!

Whatever it is, they did seemingly put some thought in to the rounds!

It's not complicated when you watch it, it's alright. Certainly the best Chase summer replacement they've had since that Tim Vine show that no one watched.

I've only watched the first four episodes of this series as haven't had the time to carry on with it.
