Especially the King of the Mountain segments because you can still hear the original commentary in spots.

There's also no interaction with the hosts from the US, but it's probably because it was just the one pilot episode, and not an actual series.

Well this is a surprise!

This also shows that TBS must have distributed this episode at some point, with the 'Sample' text on it. Also those clips of Tani being attacked by the kyonshis and him with the girls on roller skates were used in MXC, so they had the episode too.

Now we only need the pilot episode to have seen (at least the majority of) every single episode!

Actually I think they only gave the episode to people who were contestants on the episode.

Also they reused the Tani sequences in episode 128 and 129 which is How MXC got hold of them.

They reused clips? I thought that was only done by Challenge? emoticon

Re: Episode 106

Finally after 8 years of searching we have the lost episode of Takeshi's Castle.
It's bittersweet because it's the last new TC footage from the original series that we've never truly seen. I'm glad we have it finally now to get the rest of the series.
We have the parade of bad stereotypes from around the world.
It's great seeing Tani's Lair and having him interact with his real life wife.
It's great that they got the hosts of the Taiwanese and Dutch versions to be a part of the episode. I wonder who tought the dutch host how to speak the lines.
It looks like contestants from Japan consist of athletes who excel in traditional Japanese sports as well as some previous Fighting spirit award winners.
Junji Inagawa is sent on some sort of Mission Impossible task. Looks like he visits the Mountains, Egypt, Africa, The U.S. and Japan.
Takeshi and the Gundan test some new games, I call the first one Fan-tastic Voyage.
I find it amazing that a show went to the effort of sending the host to 3 different countries. I don't think that had ever happened on an American or British game show.
Tani dressed like a Dutch woman is an interesting sight to see.
I wonder if Ron Brandsteder and Tani actually met. It looks like the scene was edited together from two different shots.
Most of the contestants are former Way of Life contestants and winners.
I think this may be the first time people in Japan were ever exposed to dutch Television.
Tani takes part and fails at the Pole Vault.
All the Dutch people Tani meets seem to have Japanese voice overs, weird as the Americans and Taiwanese don't have that.
We get Velcro Fly with Animal in his usual uniform.
another new game is tested: Huge Posers
We get Skipping Stones which is nice.
We meet this episodes battlefield reporter and it's Eliska Noselli. Watching her in this episode and 110 leads me to believe that unlike previous reporters, she wasn't a perform or comedian. She seems like a Translator who happened to work for the studio. Seems like they needed a caucasion who spoke Japanese and English so they threw her into a costume and told her to interview people. We only see her interview 3 contestants.
We go to TAiwan, someone explain Giant Tani to me.
Unlike the other two shows it seems like the footage from Ever Victorous was filmed specifcally for this special. I wonder if any episodes had aired in Taiwan when this was filmed as it looks like they're still building some of the sets.
We meet Tani's Female Interpreter/Tour Guide and she is annoyed by his advances. Then we get to meet Mr. Tecqniques Cousins.
Yet another New Game: Fanboys
Tani goes to UCLA this time dressed as a Cowboy. (Since Johnnie went to Holland to see the Canal, maybe I can go to California to see where Tani visited).
The King of the Mountain footage is taken from both of the pilots.
I've never been to California but I don't think there are many Bikini clad, Roller skaters there (maybe I need to go to the right places).
The Chainsaw Juggler has since retired and become a Lawyer. Perhaps to avoid dealing with weird Japanese Comanders ever again.
We get Wipeout with a leaping Fighting Spirit Award Winner.
Game Number 4: Log Drop
Tani is back from his trip and needs to take over for his Wife.
We get our first glimpse of The Gauntlet. Minnie wins a prize
Rice Bowl Down Hill is back with a new design
Bridge Ball is also back.
The best of Japan get to compete the next day.
The best of Holland Eat cheese with Tani and get to go to Japan Via Paddle Boats, The Best of Taiwan Get to Drink Snake Venom and Travel to Japan Via Cloud, and the best of the US get to eat giant Hot dogs and Travel to Japan via Foot?
One of my favorite scenes the Party, It's cool to see Dutch, Taiwanese, American's and Japanese enjoying some Traditional Japanese food and Culture.
Can anyone translate the Story?
I wonder if they were able to find a Japanese to Dutch Interpreter or if they had to use a work around.
The final game is tested, I call it Cannon Fodder.
The only time TAni Addresses his troops at night.
I could be wrong but I think most of the Taiwanese contestants were the crew from Ever Victorious.
Catch It Baseball with international teams.
Sumo Rings and only the foreign contestants compete. One woman who wrestles Jo gets a Best of Award.
We got to High Rollers, How did the American Guy who fell 4 times not get a best of?
Only 14 contestants have survived the trials but there is one more to go.
Takeshi has offically conquered the world in this episode but can he conquer the Galaxy?
The new game Star Wars is revealed. The guards are at a major disadvantage, only one contestant looses "What can you say".
Only 3 Dutchmen, 3 Taiwanese Men, 2 Americans and 5 Japanese have survived can they conquer the castle?
2 Taiwanese men last the longest but aren't able to finish off the count. But they do earn themselves a best of award.
The battle is over and Tani has been defeated yet again, but you can believe that he will try again.

Re: Episode 106

So, the game sketches with Takeshi are titled in order as followed:

ハリ扇風車
Harisen kazaguruma
"Hari Fan Windmill"

ゴム地獄
Gomu jigoku
"Bungee Hell"

坂道はつらいよ
Sakamichi wa tsurai yo
"Painful Slope"

ゴム遊泳
Gomu yūei
"Bungee Swimming" That's what it translates to, but it doesn't make sense.

大砲でポン
Taihō de pon
"Cannon Bang"

By my count, we're 41 episodes away from achieving that (including 4 incomplete episodes.) But, we may never get episode 132 unless we're extremely lucky like with 106.

Let's play bets on the next full special episode to show up. I'm gonna say the celebrity teams episode.

I'm kinda hoping for some of those early episodes (from episodes 3 to 15) to show up. That's the largest consecutive string of episodes we don't have.
