The same old games yet again.

Looks like one of the guards fell into the water.

Fero got eaten by an umbrella.

This is all that's different this week, from the pictures on twitter anyway.

It had aired!

Tyson fell in the water on Mushroom Trip, somehow. So that's different emoticon

Alrighty then! Here's my episode 6 review. Time of review: Now, Date of review: Today. Moving along:

I liked the intro they made on-set this week (think it was introduced this week, at least). I certainly get that healthy feeling of progress that the original had. Is the Reporter creepy-acting guy gone for good? Hopefully not, as that'll look bad for them emoticon Don't think I've seen him in a few weeks tho...

The games were in the same order as in episode 4 and you know they're stretching it when that's "mixing things up"! emoticon emoticon

I found Slippery Wall to be pretty repetitive. Something new needs to happen in this game or it needs to stop being played every week. Make Bite the Bun, use a flag for Flag Down, anything! emoticon I still would much prefer a small step at the bottom of the sliding portion of the wall which competitors can attempt to land on to avoid the mud pit - which seems to be expanding by the week! That'd add more strategy and cause some funny moments.

The mob of people at the beginning of Skipping Stones was interesting emoticon It also made me think of a mass-carnage Skipping Stones as a starting game where everyone runs across the stones at once, trying to help each other along emoticon Maybe eliminate them after five attempts (still keep the game timed to maybe 10 minutes. That'd be neat! emoticon Not too many hilarious moments in this game today but it works well and was a good watch.

Now we know what Tyson was doing in the water on Mushroom Trip! This game is starting to feel stale to me though, due to being on every week and the two ropes allowing competitors to simply hang emoticon The distance being so short they only need to survive a rotation-and-a-half doesn't help either emoticon Luckily, this week had really good competitors play it so we still squeezed some more juice from the fruit! There were several good falls, and a really nice stick on the floating island by the second competitor we saw run. And we got a net loss (pun intended)!

Skittles with different bowlers! Seriously like even the smallest of changes like this one as it keeps things fresh! Also (although they were terrible bolwing together), the little guy was a force to be reckoned with with his bowling! He consistently got about 7 down and twice he got the exact same pin numbers (everyone but numbers six, nine and ten!). I was certainly hoping for the strike, as that'd be a first in the world of Takeshi's Castle! The game felt more energetic this week and I thoroughly enjoyed it emoticon

Wipe Out, and a lot of it's falls, felt like de-ja-vu on it's sixth week! Less clears though and I think that the guard should wear his old costume again. Not everything needs to feel so structured and planned on this show - just bring back the costume.

Honeycomb Maze had me pretty bored with no fights or guard struggles really worth watching.

I didn't watch Final Fall and skipped to the end of the Show Down as I can't usually tell what's going on in the latter game anyway. No surprise that they lost, but I'm glad that they're building up a consistent difficulty on this show, and think it'll be really exciting when someone does win, unlike in Vietnam.

So, I enjoyed some parts of the episode more than usual, and other parts less. I'm glad I watched it because they did get Skittles right and Mushroom Trip was worth seeing this week.

The show is beginning to feel a little stale and I certainly think it's time for Bridge Ball, Extinction and Blueberry Hill to make their premieres in tomorrow's episode. That'd be a really exciting episode if so! Maybe that's their goal - make us watch weeks on end of the same games so we're really excited to see something new/different? emoticon

If the same games are reused once again, I think next episode should have this order:

Slippery Wall (ledge)
Honeycomb Maze (no help)
Skipping Stones
Mushroom Trip
Skittles (have the new guard return)
Wipe Out
Final Fall
Show Down

That'd feel different and have more of an original episode vibe to it. Or just swap out Skittles of Wipe Out for Bridge Ball, even better! emoticon

Also, they got the thumbnail pictures wrong for most game clips up on Youtube - confusing emoticon

I can't beeline they've still not used Extinction when they had it in their test runs. Make sure no sense at all.

Maybe they're saving the new games for a while.

These remakes are certainly taking their time on their "ride" ([sign in to see URL]

I can't see the reasoning behind that. Other than having to put in the least effort possible!
