Helmets

Hello, does anybody know the make/manufacture of the helmets? People have told me they are hockey helmets.

Thank you.

A stock-photo of a hockey helmet

The best (but still pretty bad picture I could get of a helmet alone on TC

The most uncommon dessert ever:

A pineapple upsidedown cake served right-side-up over a strawberry shortcake that is quite tall over a fruitcake that tastes good

Thanks!

They could be, but obviously without the front puck-protection part. They look similar - because they're sports helmets - but I don't think the ones used on the show were for hockey.

Re: Helmets

A person on the Replica Prop Forum said that there are visible snaps for visors or face shields, and that's what led him to the conclusion that they were hockey helmets.

Funny story, I actually once wore this exact helmet, the blue variation anyway, when I was living in Japan. It was a rental at a Okinawan ice skating complex. I didn't realize then that it was the same helmet from MXC, what we call TC here in the States, and didn't have the mind or the nerve to steal it.

I'm a bit confused emoticon

Do you mean that you literally wore that exact same helmet you saw on the Replica Prop Forum, you wore a TC helmet or do you just mean you wore a helmet of the same brand?

Cool that you lived in Japan ( emoticon ), but just warning you MXC is like saying a terrible curse-word to Dan and me emoticon

At least on the MXC DVDs because of the clear picture quality, you can see the brand name molded into the front of the red helmets. I don't know about the blue ones, though.

I'm sorry, what I meant was I wore the same helmet as seen as TC/MXC.

Re: Helmets

For some reason the first thing that came to my mind was Sports Cap, which I thought was the name on the helmets, but a Google doesn't seem to come up with anything. If you keep looking through videos you should be able to find a close-up shot of one of them and read the name on it.
