Total Blackout!

Here's a show that revolves around everything happening in the dark.. emoticon

Basically there are three games that contestants play without being able to see one thing. Many of the games are meant to scare contestants with most being all mental (e.g. limbo under laser beams, but what they don't know is that they're not actually there). There are four contestants with one eliminated after each game (to reveal who is they jump onto a platform and for the loser the platform slides out and they fall down a pit emoticon ). Here's the first. But one warning: There is some bad language and occasionally gross challenges (but more in the eating bugs kind of gross!):

I watched a couple of these years ago when they were first aired. I remember one game where's they had to balance along a narrow beam and were told it was really high in the air, but it was actually on the ground. They were terrified of falling off and when they did they fell nowhere emoticon

Well at least things of that nature. You know how they play the games where you must reach in the box and figure out what item it is or use only smell? They had several in them.

I liked the bagel factory one with the conveyer and gross things inside. That was in a team special, I think.

They produced a German version of this show... with celebrities, of course. Because every show needs celebrities in order to get high ratings.

They only produced one episode of Total Blackout in Germany though. Probably haven't had enough celebrities.

I'm surprised it never made it over here. Seems like a pretty cheap show to make,
