Huh? It makes sense. If not, add “watching” to the end of the sentence.

Oh, I see now. I read it the wrong way the first time.

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set

Well Ultimate Beastmaster has officially announced that they are airing season three! Hopefully that means less of a gap this time.. emoticon

This is the one where they've added three countries to the competition and lowered the amount of people on each team to 12.

Hosts confirmed to be Tiki Barber (very surprised, didn't fin d him that interesting the first time around but I guess he's the serious guy of the two!) and some new wrestling guy (at least Chris's dryer commentary won't be on this season. Just want to see Terry Crews make his comeback instead!

My two hopes going into the new season arrrrre:

-That they lower the episode times substantially, back to where they were for season one. I'm binge-watching, I'll welcome shorter episodes with open arms.

-That was see more variety between episodes. If they refuse to create new obstacles that can be swapped-out with less difficulty, why not just slowly integrate the new ones in over the course of each episode.

They could film two episodes on the first day and change one or two of the obstacles from last time around.

Then the next day they could switch-in a few more new ideas to replace the staler ones for the third and fourth episodes.

And then add the rest of the new obstacles in on third day.

This ensures that some episodes will have different combinations of obstacles, while still allowing each one a fair amount of time in the spotlight.

Apparently the UK are in this season. I wonder who they’ve got as hosts? And does that mean we’ll actually get the UK hosts over here rather than the American ones? Does Netflix even have separate UK and USA versions?

Now where have I heard that before?

Quote:

US, UK, Australia, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy

So now you Brits better try-out emoticon. Can't believe they haven't added Canada though as it seems like a big one

I suspect that if they have the UK competing this time, they'll give you the version with the UK hosts. It seems like it's only when your country doesn't have its own hosts that they give you the most relevant commentary (USA, in your case), but since they do this season I'd expect you to get that one.

Kate Abdo is a sports journalist. Sky Germany made her the anchorwoman when they launched Sky Sport News here.

Neither sound like the greatest (although I suppose I can't judge them yet!), but it could've been the beyond-annoying hosts from The Almost Impossible Game Show or Jonathon Ross mumbling to himself, right?

You get both versions, actually. When I log into Netflix from Germany, they list both versions as separate shows: Ultimate Beastmaster (US) with 2 seasons and Ultimate Beastmaster Germany (with 1 season so far).

I'm a bit curious if Dan and I will get a chance to watch the UK version. As everyone knows, we share a place and thus share a Netflix account which I created. In a couple of weeks a new EU law comes into force that requires streaming services to offer you the same content as in your home country, when you're visiting another EU country. That wasn't possible in the past. So when you signed up for Sky to watch the national soccer league and went on holidays, you got a message that the broadcast can't be watched in your region. Now they have to unblock it for you.

It was never an issue with Netflix, because they would just offer you whatever is available in the country where you are at any given time. So In Germany I have seen the German content, in the UK I have seen the UK content. But now they should give German accounts German content when they are in the UK.

It's complicated and gets even more complicated. I actually signed up for Netflix Canada and get billed in CAD (because originally, I'm from Canada, as everyone knows), so country hopping should still be possible for my account since it's an subscription from outside the EU.

It’s a good job we built that teleporting machine, so I can pop over to yours and use our shared account in the place I’m allowed to. You should teleport over here to check out the UK version if it doesn’t show in Germany.
