Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
So it’s mostly exactly the same?

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
It looks about 60% new to me.
Interesting that they changed the US hosts. Not in a good way

Noooo, no Japan?
Hopefully the new U.S. hosts don't spend the whole episode chanting "USA, USA" again.

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
I’ll try the first episode again, but I’ll be surprised if I can Ben bothered with anymore. Interested t see how they’ve changed the editing though.

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
I really wish they didn't change the hosts and editing-style, as knowing how many of the shows on here disappointed me with format changes, this could be the next one

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
Looks like the final round has been reworked quite a bit, which is good. Will be interesting to see, but I could only put myself through about 3 episodes of season 1 before I was bored. It doesn't look like enough has changed for that to be any different.

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
It's much better than season 1!
The point system, the editing, it all just makes a lot more sense.
Give it a try if you didn't like season 1

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
That's good, although if there isn't much change between episodes one and two, I'll still begin to worry about a stale series.
Will watch tonight, once I'm home

Re: Ultimate Beastmaster - Filmed on Abandoned Wipeout Set
Hate to provide the usual contrary view, but that's what forums are for, right?
I'm generally less impressed by this series than I was by series 1. Not enough change (and Level Two being identical REALLY annoyed me).
The other three were modified fairly, but I personally am not the biggest fan of the new first level. Too many forward jumps with the Energy Coils (and especially the episode where they had the extra blue ones and now the gears. The hanging bolts are kinda cool and the final lache to the Mag Wall is pretty neat, but that's about all I can conjure up for the episode one stage, as the new Mag Wall is far too easy. For episode two, I did enjoy the Slingshot, but the trapeze itself wasn't too hard at all.
The new Level Three is fair, although the jump from the treadmill to the wheel on the track is obviously because they don't want as many fails as they had on The Ejector last time around. The ending with Hang Man is neat, and glad The Weapon's concept made a token-appearance, but we hardly ever see it due to the dang Coil Crawl
The Final Stage is a good improvement, but the final Spider Climb-esque part still goes on forever! I doubt they'll change this stage though.
It seems like they've made subtle adjustments to Level Two to get more clears (as shown by having more than one person clear it already), which feels a bit lame if you ask me. A more obvious change is making the Digestive Track's tunnel closer to contestants, which I am annoyed by, as I enjoyed some technique being required. On the other hand, though, they do seem to have made the final obstacle harder as they can't grab the top like they used to be easily able to reach.
I don't find the commentators to be an improvement, although I will admit I appreciate cheesy jokes a bit too much
Could be why I enjoyed season one's voicing so much
And Natalie Strasser is another ANW competitor from earlier times. First hitting her nose on that brick wall, now gashing her arm on the Energy Coils!
