Re: Messup's at Home Courses

Okay, I'm kind of making my own stage two-type course now (one or two obstacles are mildly similar to it, but it has a strict-ish time limit that makes stage 2 tougher). I've given myself 1 minute and now 40 seconds to:

Jump off a step from a sitting position and jumping over a yoga mat in the process, swinging across two rings - only one hand allowed on each - that are spaced six (I think) feet apart, transitioning to the rockwall and crossing it, grabbing a nunchuck hang and jumping to a platform, running on a roller (similar to Balance Tank) and jumping over that same yoga mat at the end. The course is shaped as a square.

I might take some pictures of the garage soon.

I decided to put my 20 pull-ups without stopping goal on hold for awhile. I'm not done with it, but I think I'll give it a month or two off. Mainly because it stopped being fun and just stressful so I knew I forgot my reason for trying this stuff. I'll be back though. I just need 10% more strength emoticon

Practicing the upwards long jump and my record is 7'5" after a couple of days so I think a realistic goal for the next week is 7'8" emoticon

Stilts: Attach two wooden planks to one pole each. Try to get across your garage

If I do that, I'll probably just buy some. It's mainly because of safety I don't want to fall from high up stilts. Or I could at least master shorter stilts first!

I worked on a variation of my stage 2 today. Nunchuck grip replaced with rope to swing on and roller replaced with wobbly skateboard.

And I'm trying to do these little hand-jumps on the monkey bars. I basically grab two bars and kip myself up and grab back. I did five sets of ten today. Going for five of twenty tomorrow.

Thanks!

Just an update: Ninja training when you're sick is awful. I couldn't do the Cliffhanger on the side of my monkey bars, which is pathetic.

So how was the Ninja gym? How is your training going for the obstacle course competition?
