Re: Messup's at Home Courses Here's the big post y'all have been dreading
I'll start by posting the videos (just going to post the links as I don't want to make the pages so long and the video boxes do that), beginning with Day 27, part 1 and 2, at Apex:
Went to the gym yesterday. Didn't beat my top rowing-time as I was shooting for but there you go! Got some exercise and drinking a Cinnamon Slurpee afterward didn't make me feel bad at all!
I did the 1/2 Mile Run at school today and beat my best by 12 seconds, 3:18. I was happy on a personal-achievement level but it isn't good at all so I'm going to have to keep trying Did 22 pull-ups in one set on the monkey-bars at my Grandparents' house tonight, as well. Feel good, now onto my math homework...
Re: Messup's at Home Courses Haha thank you for saying that ( ), but I'm really not that good at it for all the time I've practiced it! At the most, I'm just average, I'd say.
On that topic, I signed up for actual classes on parkour (so more about just basic skills than completing obstacle) at the gym and had my first yesterday. It went over jumps mainly, which I did fine on, but it also taught ninja-rolls (not the same as forward-rolls), which I very much struggled on That, and the calisthenics warm-up got me
Re: Messup's at Home Courses Hi Messup!
I think the best way to measure progress is against your own best efforts and not in comparing yourself to others. I think this is what you do all the time. I have watched you at this for a few years now and you have improved tremendously. With that said, I think you are better than average! You also happen to be a very humble person. I like how you always push yourself to keep improving.
Your "hang-time" on the different objects hanging from the ceiling has really improved.I think that is a result of all those pull-ups you have been doing.
Re: Messup's at Home Courses You look a little frail. From previous experience I instinctively turn you away in search of a healthier body. Besides that is actually good information up there

Aw, thank you miamigirl! Your guess that I compare myself to others all the time really nailed it I guess it's just how I think, a lot of the time, even though I don't intend for it to be
Always appreciate the reassurance
Dan: Because these new things are both things you temporarily hang from hooks - not a permanent installation! The garage is also currently being used to store a bunch of tile and such for our demoing so it sure is tight
Kitsune: You moved on to a bigger meal because I'm unhealthy? There's always a silver-lining

Anyway, I graduated from my parkour intros and will take regular classes there over the Summer. We're building some precision blocks to practice jumps and strides.
In unrelated news, I'm wearing a parkour costume to Sports Day at school (complete with my new Miami Freerunning hat) tomorrow
