Re: Australian Ninja Warrior
But I suppose its kinda different for ANW coz we expect it to be good with lots of new obstacles and great competitors but for AuNW there is much less expectation coz there first series was just another spin-off, nothing special apart from maybe the fact that it was outside. The heats and semis were very underwhelming, the final stage 1 was a hotch potch and the final stage 2 had the most ridiculous time limit in the history of ninja warrior shows. Also, the competitors were alright but far from stand-out and I'd be surprised if the commentary wasn't used as a general anaesthetic for surgery.

Re: Australian Ninja Warrior
That's true - and yeah I bet this season of Australia will be better than the first.
ANW, on the other hand, has to beat some great seasons they've already had if they want to impress us!

Re: Australian Ninja Warrior
The first episode of Australian Ninja Warrior series 2 has aired and the course looked a lot tougher but no less boring. One thing I can't understand is they completely cut Fred Dorrington, the last man standing from series 1, I mean who does that?

Re: Australian Ninja Warrior
Episode 2 was an absolute killer. The UFO caused so many failures. Happy to see them not use a jump hang variant this episode.

That's nearly a guarantee that I won't be watching s version. At least ANW can be trusted to invite back the top three-or-so people each year.

They invited him back, unlike another spin-off he attempted (cough, cough, NWUK, I mean what), but they just completely cut his run, even though he was last man standing in series 1 and finished the yesterday's course in a very respectable 2 minutes 40, coming 7th.

Re: Australian Ninja Warrior
I see. Still a major turn-off though Although ANW will cut last-men-standing from previous seasons, too (namely Brian Arnold).

Re: Australian Ninja Warrior
But they didn't cut him in ANW 6 I don't think.
