Not much to add, seeing that it was just announced. But there you go.

Hmm they actually mention the original Sasuke more, but I still feel like it'll be based on the American version more emoticon

I like it alright and the obstacles are good, but I'd rather have the original format. The American is a bit slow-paced.

I'd actually rather them copy the format of Amarican NW than the format of the UK one like Germany has.

But with less "stories" and more of the actual course. That is the one good think UK Ninja does - has lots of action, a little story crap by comparison.

Australia had both the original and the American version on SBS.

I'd guess that Australian Ninja Warrior is closer to Ninja Warrior UK though. They always seem to do things the British way.

Was the same with Gladiators. Was closer to the UK one, too. But then the name gives some hope. It's not Ninja Warrior Australia, but Australian Ninja Warrior.

Sure, the order for me is: Japanese > American > British

I'd imagine a fairly large outdoor course is more likely with Australia, and knowing how they like shows to represent each state they might have heats in the five state capitals too, so it'll probably be more down the US model.

I did think of the Aussie networks Nine was probably the least suitable, but actually they did Wipeout Australia which although it only lasted one season I think most of us here regarded very highly as managing to stay very faithful to the original.

As they're likely to do it outdoors I'd love to see them stick closer to the original format than the American one.

Having various heats is great as long as they change the obstacles. And don't drag them out for 90% of the series like the UK version does.

Doing it outdoors is already a big plus. Looks cheap indoors!

It doesn't look cheap indoor, but it doesn't have the same atmosphere as outdoors.

Confirmed this is being done outdoors - you can get a Ninja Ferry to Ninja Island and stay at Camp Ninja overnight.
