Re: e-Sports, anyone?
Season 2017 is just about to start this Tuesday with the Challenger Series Qualifiers! The winners get a place in the EU Challenger Series' Spring Split!
Who will play?
-The 5th and 6th teams from Summer Split (Team Forge and Nerv)
-The winners of the regional leagues:
-Spain: ASUS ROG Army (#ASUSWIN)
-France: Team LDLC
-Germany: Alternative Attax
-Poland: Bobaski
-Nordic: Tricked eSport
-UK: Team Larssen
-Open Qualifier winners (3 from EU West, 1 From EU Nordic & East):
-EUW:
-Fnatic Academy

What's the format of the tournament?
First, there's a group stage, composed of two groups of six teams each. They'll compete against each other head-to-head in a Bo1 system (Bo1 = best of 1, if you win, it's a win, if you lose, it's a loss). Top two teams of each group will go to the finals. The winners of those finals will have a place in the Challenger Series Spring Split.
When is it?
We start this tuesday at 5:00 PM GMT+1! Schedule:
Fnatic Academy (FNA) v Euronics Gaming (ESG) - 5:00 PM
Alientech eSports (AT) v Team Larssen (TLR) - 6:00 PM approx.

I've still never noticed this being broadcast on any channel in the U.K.

Re: e-Sports, anyone?
Even though they now have some Nordic championship events, it's not part of any bigger international series, so...
This is 25th anniversary of Assembly demo party that started as gathering at a school.
Some of the winners of early Assembly demo/programming competitions in early 90's went on to establish Remedy, makers of Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break.

Well, here in Spain on a Satellite/IPTV platform called Movistar+ (same company as O2), on May they announced a partnership with ESL and launched a channel called Movistar eSports, and a Spanish organization (with LoL, CS:GO, CoD and Overwatch teams) called Movistar Riders.

Re: e-Sports, anyone?
Finnish TV just gave list on esports events to be shown along rest of the year.
There'll be 6 CS:GO events and 2 of Overwatch.
To begin with, this weekend they'll show about 10 hours of CS:GO finals from ESL One Cologne.
There's a Finnish team in the tournament, ENCE.
They lost first game, but continue in a double-elimination system and won second game against Swedish Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Re: e-Sports, anyone?
I just watched CS:GO Finnish championship final (at Assembly Summer 2018) between our world class team ENCE and reigning Finnish champion HAVU.
That was incredibly close match, I hope I can find you a video later.

Re: e-Sports, anyone?
I am not quite sure. The color text looks lovely o. It looks like a holiday tree maybe. I find it hilarious. I said holiday due to the huge good rhetoric of being politically uncorrect. i apoligize I meant correct rather not incorrect. I find it lovely.
Pinecones and pineapples.
I am saying the above words due to reading a huge article that saying similar words may help one to relive stress a little. I find it peaceful to me.
The topic is weird o.
