Entertainment Rescue Entscue is our brand new YouTube channel for all things Yaguchi Hitori!
The plan for this channel is to provide better YH videos than ever, by uploading fully translated clips - with MASSIVE thanks to Gra who is helping subtitle them all. We're properly reversioning them to for a wider audience by adding English subs, graphics and narration.
The aim of this channel is toooo...
1) Share the awesomeness of Mari and Gekidan with more people!
2) Upload clips I've not used before, becuase they may have not been much fun to most people without subtitles.
Of course there'll also be stuff we've seen before too, but we'll be getting more out of that stuff with the new translations
3) If we can get the channel popular enough, with a bit of luck, it might come to the attention of the YH crew and spur them into making a new series It can't hurt anyway!
Here's a short video we've worked on as a trial. What's in the Cube??
I love them! And more people need to too, so that's the goal of this channel
Hopefully we'll be uploading clips on a regular basis
There should be three of us putting our various skills (I use that word lightly for myself) into most videos, so hopefully they should be three times better than just me uploading clips and attempting to translate the on-screen stuff myself
Re: Entertainment Rescue Haha thanks, buuut it's still not really a skill. Not like knowing another language!
You know, I think they have. Who would have ever predicted that the legendary cardboard key and a shoe on a box could be bettered? But it's happened!
Now we need to film our own What's in the Cube with a cardboard key and scrubbing brush inside some konnyaku, with a shoe glued to the top of the whole thing. Winner gets it all. The ULTIMATE prize.
Re: Entertainment Rescue Here's one of those clips that I wouldn't have uploaded before, as it's all talking, but we can now! I know I used the bit of Haruki singing in a Xmas KHouTube but all the rest is 'new', and very funny.
Re: Entertainment Rescue When I saw that video in my subscription box I was like "OMG... I follow somebody who actually uploaded a brand new Mari video... that will be an amazing post."
two seconds later it was "oh...."
another two seconds later it was "woohoo... still Mari".
I don't mind if we have old videos that we've seen before or if it's old videos, that are new to KH. Every bit of YH is great.
I still thank that an interview series with Mari would work extremely well, e.g. Mari interviewing American or British celebrities. It's not only funny because of the language, but it could get even more funny if she doesn't know these people.
Just imagine Mari asking Elvis Presley how it is touring with the beetles.
Re: Entertainment Rescue Or the CKPSOABSBK for short. That's SO much easier to say
I thought the rubber ring worked with the 'Rescue' theme. Mari and Haruki are saving you from drowning in boredom... Or something.
That's why the borders around the corner boxes and stuff are orange and white too. Tiny rectangular rubber rings keeping with the theme
I have to say that I do like Mari's Beatles far better than the original ones. Imagine Elvis and John Lennon busting out Living la Vida Loca with Ricky Martin while Richard Gere... acts the lyrics out. That's some band. If only half of them weren't dead.

Sorry to disappoint you like that haha. But one day a new Mari show will be real! One day. Soon I hope.
She's well and truly back on TV so there's chance.
I'll try and select clips so we get a good mix of unseen stuff and stuff we've had before. And even with a lot of the stuff we've used before there are still parts of it I cut out to make it fit in KHouTube. I think I copied the Haruki Potter episode onto my laptop to use, and we only saw the film itself before - and not the making and stuff around it - so there'll be new parts to old classics too
And YES - Mari interviewing celebrities would be amazing! There was a clip a few years ago of her interviewing the Black Eyed Peas on her radio show, and she did an impression of a part of their song or something. I can't find it now be I remember it being funny!
