Dream team Thailand Here we are. I hate typing on the phone so much, when i try to change the tabs and back to typing. All the thing i wrote for about 6 paragraph is gone.
Anyway let's get on the show that just recently premiers, here is the first full one.
The show starts of with six player on star team and another six player on guest team(this episode are the corporals).
The first round is the "Mouthball" they play on Best of three. Winner get chance to choose to play first or second on second round, loser get ice bucket'd.
The second round it the course itself. Look very much like American Ninja Warrior. (Today set is on army camp). The rules are also look like the AMC too (the team complete the course with the least time wins. If both team failed to finish. The winner is going to be the team who cover the farthest of the course win.)
Here are the list of obstacle (by my rough translation):
The Gibbon's waterfall
The Tarzan's tazer
The windmill of doom(the mill are lock except the third which can spin freely)
The unfair platform
The winner can pick three member of thier team to the final round. Loser pick only 2.
The final round is the same thing as round two. The winner take 50000฿, loser take only 10000฿.
For me , the show itself is fun, nice GoPro cam and the drone shot are nice. The cons are thoes annoying korean style text which i don't like, and i don't like the slow down cam which make the show cliffhanging and not fast-paced
I don't know when that format /obstacle will chage or not, we have to wait and see!
There's a new show comming along and it's from the maker of The Money Drop Thailand. Comes another franchise show: Still Standing Thailand. Premiers 1st October. For further infomation please click here.
For that show im talking about last week isn't done yet. It will take some time though.
Re: Dream team Thailand Mouthball is pretty funny. It's simple but looks silly and that makes it quite fun.
I think that's the good thing about this format - it's not ALL obstacle course, they have some other games too.
I do like the obstacles they come up with on Dream Team. There's usually something different about them. The first one is a good example. Simple swinging bars, but they're part of a drum of water that tips over them as they make it swing. From what I've seen of the Korean Dream Team I'd say their obstacle designers are actually some of the best in the business. They don't rely on copying other shows and have some original ideas of their own.
... Saying that, the Tarzan one is copied from Viking. But still
I agree - the slow mo shots are horrible and totally ruin the pace. They don't even look good. I you want to have stupid ultra-slow-mo shots then you should at least film them with a slow motion camera so there are enough frames in the footage to make the shot look good. But better still, don't use them at all.
They do the same thing in the original version too, so they've just copied the editing exactly. I guess that's a plus point for fans of the original, but not for everyone else!
I wonder what Fern thinks of her dad hosting a sort of rival gameshow himself? The Ponlaboons have our weekend gameshow entertainment all wrapped up between them
That other new show looks just like an old show called Russian Roulette. There were only about two or three episodes made in the UK, yeeeears ago.

Ugh, that has happened to me a few times before. I feel your anger! Thanks for typing it up again though
Hope your work on the other show is going well even if it is taking longer
Re: Dream team Thailand Thoes swinging bars reminds me of rope junction from ANW. That you must go fast, never lose time and momentum which cause you down the water. I kept that in mind while i watch this.
Actually i know the still standing from the Russian Roulette. I was found the video randomly and ot was fun(i like that guy who count the red platform before ending below his feet.). Then to the Israeli show(not sure) and to the standing still. I hope Thai stuff is going to be great.
Re: Dream team Thailand Yeah I guess they are a bit similar to the Rope Junction - but these bars are more visually interesting at least! Will be interesting to see IF they do change the obstacles next week.
Re: Dream team Thailand Wow! DTT, TCT, ANW, Wipeout, you sure have good taste in shows
Anyway it's review time!
Mouthball: This game didn't suck or blow! Even if that's the whole point! A great way to open the show!
Obstacle Course:
-The Gibbon's Waterfall: A classic from the original Dream Team! And yep it's a pretty good replica
-The Tarzan's Tazer: While this is obviously a Viking rip-off ( ), it's still a pretty decent obstacle and one of my favorites from Viking! Would be a lot better with none of those stupid slow-mo shots though
-The Windmill of Doom: Interesting because I expected them to mechanically spin. Praps they will make it mechaniccally spin if they use it again to shake things up a bit! Possibly the most deadly obstacle thanks to the freely-spinning gear?
-The Unfair Platform: Another rip-off - this time from Just Go! But it works well and seems fairly slippery! They just need the spinning platform bit to not stop spinning so easily!
So a decent first episode and I'll watch next time
Re: Dream team Thailand They have to be good, something we've arched in the past AND relevant to get to be a "Favourite", otherwise they're relegated to Off Topic
