Ninja Warrior Germany

RTL just announced that they'll show a German adaption of Ninja Warrior. They classify Ninja Warrior as a working title, so the title might change.

No air date yet. Press release just says coming soon, so it might air this year.

I hope it's better than the UK version. They'll be using the same course though (as I think it's just one course that's getting shipped around Europe?) so it might end up just as repetitive.

It should be the same course. Haven't Bellon stated on their website that you can buy Ninja Warrior Europe with a mobile course?

I doubt that it will be any better though. RTL is our ITV. And if you are in desperate need of sob stories, you're always be able to find them on RTL.

Also, I don't think that the channel is the right channel for a show like Ninja Warrior. They might have been in the 90s.

Actually - surprisingly - the one thing they did do right on ITV's NInja was the editing and lack of sob stories. At least in the episodes I saw. Even the crappy life VT bits were very short.

It was the number of episodes they spent on the exact same course that ruined it.

It'll be the same course. It was ran in Sweden and Turkey as the same thing, so...

But there are probably more obstacles they can use. Just they didn't bother over here.

It looks like they will call it "Ninja Warrior Germany". I'm surprised that they added the Germany to the title, because usually they don't.

It's half US, half UK. The first shot is an above shot of Vegas and they have some others, including a shot of Jesse Laflair jumping the Giant Cycle.

I think the ironic thing now looking back 8 years or so to when they were trying to sue Wipeout is that without Wipeout paving the way I doubt Ninja Warrior would be establishing itself now as a worldwide franchise.
