Re: Fun Gameshows Anyway about Crystal Maze I watched it, though with no volume ( ) so let's see if I'm right about the game:
There are four zones represented on the map, each of a different color. These range from industrial to others I can't remember right now and contestants travel through each zone, while playing mental and physical challenges. For winning a challenge a contestant gets a crystal and in the end each crystal counts (kinda like carts on TCT) and adds five seconds total time. If you exceed the time-limit in a room you're locked in and if you accumulate too many fouls you get the automatic lock-in that Dan was talking about. Haven't seen Mumsy/me yet though
*contestant creates a nail-biter in the gear game, escaping with just a second to spare!
*Host is a bit crazy.
*The ball drop thing looks very frustrating to play.
*Surely having them hurl themselves over those walls at the start is a lawsuit waiting to happen?!
*The ending seems a bit anti-climatic with there being no defined winner or loser and them just collecting as much money as they can.
Final Words: Never thought I'd say this but this is quite good! The theming of kinda exploring might get boring for me but for now I like it. And for a 90's program it sure had some money put into it from challenges to set-dressing!
Now where have I seen that reviewing format before?
Re: Fun Gameshows Aww Sure I'll get to her thought haha.
Episode 2 view and review (wow, what a rhyme..!):
*last episode had no lock-ins... this one had two!
*Some more obstacle/Wipeout-esque challenges this week, one even over water!
*some returning challenges but a lot of new ones!
*I like the opening bit where they enter the area (climbing over the wall this time).
*Too bad the second lock-in guy didn't watch enough Showdowns to get his target practice!
Final Words: I'm growing addicted to this awesome program so y'all only have 81 more of these reviews to read Anyway a noteably bad team this week, or maybe last week's was really good. But only four crystals?! Two near the start, two near the end too. Still loving the theming they've gave it!
