Let’s go film our own version!

It’s more likely than getting our other pilot show completed emoticon

Re: Wipeout [is officially over]

Wipeout Facebook is becoming more active again. They've linked to British episodes (which I'm completely fine with emoticon ) and are advertising a new system where you can watch different countries' versions to get your "Wipeout fix". This is all good with me, but they must have a n00b running their page as they've started not capitalizing obstacle names (which bugs me) and are calling the Wipeout Zone the "Final wipeout" (which is stupid emoticon ).

I bet there'll be a new season by 2020 though.. emoticon

This is probably a poor attempt at getting the brand back out there again for the sake of selling the old episodes abroad or something. Sounds like they’ve given the job to a work experience kid so don’t hold out any hope this means anything emoticon

Re: Wipeout [is officially over]

Okay rewatching the episodes from first couple of seasons (and the Winners and Losers) and I've enjoyed them all. I watched the Champion of Champions episode a few weeks back and that actually was enjoyable to watch as I hadn't seen the same course for the previous 13-ish weeks!

Does it irk anyone else when they call a fall onto a platform (like the Hurtles beam and Pitchforks tarp) a "wipeout"? A wipeout is falling in the water and off the obstacle, not just falling down while attempting the obstacle!

Oh well emoticon

I prefer those wipeouts to the other enforced ones where they snack them straight into the water. At least they can carry on and haven’t failed straight away due to someone’s pressing a button emoticon

Re: Wipeout [is officially over]

Oh, of course I have no problem with people falling on the beams and such! I just mean that it bothers me calling that a "wipeout". It's like on Splatalot - getting hit by the Splatzooka isn't a splat, falling off of the course and into the water is!

Sorry I'm just a stickler for word-choice emoticon

For those who don't hate it ( emoticon ), there's now a Total Wipeout YouTube livestream!:

And they're starting to upload some episodes from it as [sign in to see URL] mean, I'm aware that the channel's known as a Total Wipeout channel, but part of me wishes they'd upload the US version as well, but yeah, that's unlikely.
