Re: Wipeout Is Officially Over I don't post here much, the show's quality wasn't that great after season 3 in my opinion, so it's no major surprise about this news.
I remember when I first discovered Wipeout: it was on the old Challenge forum when someone discovered "a new takeshi's castle show". I was excited about it and became a fan (not a major one though) way before it arrived on British TV (and by that I don't mean Total Washout!)
I lost interest after a few season 4 episodes (although I may have a look what came afterwards out of interest), so it's probably right that the show has stopped now.
It truly has been fun, exciting and excellent. I shall remember Wipeout for the rest of my life. It had a great run. 7 seasons is a big achievement + other stuff.
Alongside Wipeout, there is this place. This wonderful, catastrophic vibe of ecstatic energy. I will remember this place aswell, . We've had good times, and, I guess bad. But through the ups and downs, we've been Keshiheads. And that will stay true forever. It's a very emotional day. Wherever all of our past members are, THANK YOU! To the members that are frequently on here now, THANK YOU! To Wipeout, THANK YOU! TO EVEYONE... THANK YOU!
All the topics, all the discussions, all the users, all my accounts, every day, every Wipeout season/episode.
It is very sad, but happy at the same time. I am touched by the goodness and joy of Wipeout and Keshiheads. It's been epic.
All of you are legends.
It doesn't feel like goodbye, but I guess it is.
Thank you, and I hope all of you have one heck of a fantastic life!
Re: Wipeout Is Officially Over Yeah I'm a thousand times sadder to lose a good section of Keshiheads then to lose Wipe out.
I appreciate everyone who has donated even one post into this excellent board and hope to still be able to read this Wipe out section even though the show itself has bit the dust
I remembered all the different obstacle sets from season 1-7 but the highlights were both in seasons 1 and 2. Long after those seasons died the show began to feel repetitive and after a long boring three or so years just choked to death.
I really members my first season was season 4. I remember waiting all day to watch it after I get home on Friday. But some of that magic faded when they started to show reruns of the first two seasons between seasons 4 and 5 and I realized that the old version was even better.
In the Winter I activated my account to talk about Takeshi's Castle but also ended up falling under the spell of Wipe out Extreme and then coming into "THE ZONE" as they say!
I think even though the show ended the legacy will live on when they air Wipe out Extreme and other countries film new better episodes on Argentina.
So I think that DuffDan has created an awsome site that I will always cherish.
Re: Wipeout Is Officially Over Well it's nice that someone has finally had the honestly to say it's over. Not that it comes as any shock whatsoever! But well done John.

Though I may not be back,
Bye, bye.
Huh? You're going too, because Wipeout is over? Given up of TCT then!?
...and other countries film new better episodes on Argentina.
Might be a bad time to break it to you, but the Argentina course is long gone, the pools are filled in and it's just an empty field now.
Nice to finally have a semi-official answer, I suspect the production team don't want to 'announce' that they've stopped to keep the brand alive for stuff like the WipeoutRun events.
Season 3 was still the absolute peak for me, that was when I first watched the season as soon as each episode aired in the US and it was still all so big and new. It was such a step up from Season 2 yet hadn't started to go down the all-smackwall approach the later seasons took. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Double Cross is one of my favourite things ever.
Re: Wipeout Is Officially Over I was thinking that I bet the producers aren't happy with John letting the cat out of the bag! All be it a very evident cat from a very transparent bag.
Still, yep, they have their blow-up summer fare bouncy castle thing to make money out of.
