Re: Video Games
I know it's old but I've recently been re-playing Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii. There's just so much variety and every level is unique so it stays fun.
I did have Mario Maker on Wii U but never got round to getting the second one. It looks much better, there are far more mechanics. I remember trying to publish a really hard level I made but couldn't complete it for years lol.
The Crash Bandicoot series are always great too. Playing Crash 2 on ps1 always gives off a nostalgic 90's vibe, which I think is why I love it so much.
Wow, I can't believe I've just found this topic, it's been around for years.

Re: Video Games
Donkey Kong Country is fun! Well at least it was when I watched my Dad playing it ten years ago
There was a new one for the Switch in 2019 that I played at my grandma's house. Very fun!

Re: Video Games
I assume you mean Tropical Freeze?
That one was ported over from the Wii U.

Re: Video Games
Yes, that's what I was referring to! Never knew it was on the Switch.
Ah, I miss Summer of 2019 I'd just come back to Florida and it was such a simpler and better time!
Anyway..

Re: Video Games
This is an obscure one, but I've made it my mission to beat Super Mario Bros. Special.
What is that, you might ask? It's a Japanese PC game that was released for the NEC PC8801 and Sharp X1 in Japan only in 1986.
It was developed by Hudson Soft, and it's by far the hardest Mario game ever made, mainly because hardware limitations make it that way.
I'm at 7-2 currently, and it's been some journey to get that far. It's the only game I've ever justified using emulator save states for.
Hardcore Gaming 101 has a pretty good article about it here.

Re: Video Games
I managed to finish SMB Special.
I had to use save states to get through the last level, because I deemed it simply impossible to do in one go.

I'm not allowed to play real video games, but I have been allowed to use a 3-D drawing app to make a Wipeout one

Re: Video Games
I am currently in the middle of playing Getsu Fuuma Den, another one of those really good Konami Famicom games that wasn't released outside of Japan.
I'm about halfway through the game, but I am absolutely stonewalled at the second boss.
It's a pretty good game, though, but I can see why it wasn't released worldwide. Unless you had an affinity for Sengoku-era Japan.

I wish I could use a 3D drawing app! Don't know if it's the same but my teacher apparently does a ton of 3D printing and has made bowls and stuff with it
