Re: Video Games
I've used MS controllers in Atari 520ST.
I've worn out couple MS pads, one with the direction button off - not from particular violence but just the edges broken off bit by bit along time.
It's a good thing I bought a third pad back when one stopped working properly, I'm down to last one.
I'd have couple Quickshot joysticks, but they don't fully work with MS (both trigger and hat are same Sega button). Funny thing is, when I put one in with a light gun game, certain right timed button/direction combinations (never figured it out) make a shot. No way to aim, but it's kind of fun to randomly shake stick to see if you happen to hit anything.

Re: Video Games
I finally dug out my Genesis to play Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm not very good at it.

Re: Video Games
So many people playing it back at the gaming/anime society me and my sister are in keep forgetting that Sonic 1 on the Genesis/Mega Drive didn't have the Spin Dash. That's didn't come in until Sonic 2. They keep complaining that the game seems clunky now without any kind of dash from a standing start like most Sonic games have had since. Seems it's a common complaint, because the 3DS port of Sonic 1 added the Spin Dash to it, and advertised the fact that you can 'turn it off' for an 'authentic' experience. They just know how to suck money out my hands...

Re: Video Games
I downloaded a trial of a Sonic game on the DS last year. It's the first time I've ever played Sonic. And the last! I couldn't play it at all. It's way too fast How the hell anyone can play with a Dash button I don't know.

Practically every modern Sonic game is crap. Sega really just doesn't care anymore. It's a shame because the first two Sonic games are great.
I have noticed though, that Sega wanted you to think that you had to just go fast! fast! fast! in Sonic, but (at least the first game) you couldn't really just do that. I guess that's why I don't like Marble Zone that much (though the music is great.) Spikes in videogames are torture, especially in the Mega Man series.

Re: Video Games
In this game the level was some kind of tube that you could roll around, but I kept going everywhere but the way I wanted to go. I just wanted to stop moving but I don't think you could!

Re: Video Games
I have an old Playstation, PS2 and the old XBox, I don't sort of bother with the newer Consoles. I have Crash Bandicoot, the Oddworld Games (my favourite), and all the Tomb Raider Games up to the brilliant Tomb Raider Anniversary and Underworld.
On the Xbox I have Crash Bandicoot,Conflict Desert Storm (play as SAS/Delta Force Team), Medal of Honour and the Sims.
I'm playing Tomb Raider 2, and I've managed to get most of the Secret Dragons. I'm on Barkhang Monastery.
