Humor Amarillo (Spanish Takeshi's Castle) [INCLUDES FIRST EPISODE SUBBED IN PAGE 2]
Official thread to talk about the Spanish version(s) of Takeshi's Castle!
In Spain, Takeshi's Castle had two versions, the first one (1990-96) was commented by Miguel Ángel Coll and Juan Herrera. All 140 episodes aired, only one episode from that version has been found.
Length: 30 min.
Channel: Telecinco.
The second version (2006-07, 2009-10, 2011-12) was commented by Fernando Costilla and Paco Bravo. Also aired all 140 episodes. It was much funnier than the first version. This version became famous because the episodes had almost nothing in common with the original episodes (in one episode, number 032, i think, they even said that they made a TV channel of it, with different programmes). ALL 140 episodes have been found.
Length: 30 min.
Channels: Cuatro (2006-07), La Siete (2009-10), Energy (2011-12).

Re: Humor Amarillo (Spanish Takeshi's Castle)
Since there is only one episode of the original Humor Amarillo, I really couldn't comment on it much. It's not bad, even though I don't speak Spanish. The one episode that's out there on the internet is actually made up of two episodes of Takeshi's Castle: Episodes 102 and 103.
The new version I have a real love/hate relationship with. I love the stuff that's usually cut out, especially from the special episodes, even though the specials are usually split across two episodes. The "hate" part (which really isn't a hate) is the commentary. Like I mentioned, I don't speak Spanish, so I'm just going by voices. It's not so much Fernando Costilla as it is Paco Bravo's loud, grating voice.
But the thing I dislike the most is that they call them "Chinese". I don't like cultural stereotypes, so this bugs me the most out of anything.
Though, with all of the things I don't like, the good definitely outweighs the bad. Because it's still Takeshi's Castle, and it's still fun to watch regardless. And some of the nicknames for the characters are pretty good, like Shin Suganuma being named "El Primo de Harry Potter", and Skipping Stones as Las Zamburguesas, because the stones do look a lot like grey hamburger patties.
I hope you don't take my opinion personally, because I don't speak Spanish and don't get most of the jokes. It's still a great show with many of the parts missing from other edits, and I still love it.

Heh, don't worry, I won't take it that personally. And i'm also doing the job of subbing the first episode of the 2006-07 version! It will take a few days actually lol

Yes
PS: Hi abstractwb I saw you on my board. I just wanted to tell you that I was redoing it when you visited so that is why it looked so ugly lol

Re: Humor Amarillo (Spanish Takeshi's Castle)
Hey - welcome! Thanks for signing up
Didn't the first version of Humour Amarillo also have some other show mixed in with the Taleshi's Castle clips? There was actually quite a bit of it online not too long ago, as they recently released some DVDs. Not sure where the videos are now though. Probably removed.
I feel the same as latedep about the second version. I love it for showing so much stuff that we've never seen in any other version, but the constant talking on top gets a bit irritating when you just want to hear the original audio underneath (which is really hard to do)!
Subbing an episode is brilliant though. Thank you for doing it! It'll be nice to finally understand what they're babbling on about

Re: Humor Amarillo (Spanish Takeshi's Castle)
Thanks for the warm welcome! And DuffDan, I didn't notice that they released DVDs of the first Spanish version! Where did you find that info?
And about the subbed episode, half of that episode is done! So expect it to be released or today or tomorrow or on a random day this week ^^

Are you thinking of Mai dire Banzai? That one is from Italy.
