Cold
Hi guys.
Tomorrow our school administrator says will be cold so I am very surprised b'cos I live in the hottest part of the USA and the temp. is supposed to drop down to the high thirties
I'm too happy because I really miss my old home and even though I moved out six years ago when I was 5, I still can remember the great snow there. Well I know there won't be snow here, but still it will be nice and cold.
Where I live, everyone's so used to hot weather that when it even is 60 degrees they think it is too cold. So tomorrow I'll probably have to wear a jacket to school. The school thinks we should wear three shirts to stay warm. So what are your thoughts on cold? Do you like it or not? Just wondering.
Next week should be a bit chillier too

Re: Cold
What part of the US?
It's about 39 degrees Fahrenheit at 1:00 in the morning in northeast Florida and feels like 33.

Re: Cold
High 30s in Miami? Or just part of the state?
It snowed here once in 1989, but I was only a year old and don't remember it. I don't remember the 1993 Storm of the Century either, and I was 4 at the time.

Re: Cold
Well for me they just say "30s" and I forgot to check how much but in the 30s.
Yeah true, it snowed here about 30 or so years ago plus a tiny bit three years ago!
EDIT: Sorry I forgot to answer your question: not exactly Florida but for that part of state

Re: Cold
I saw actual snow for the first time last November in North Carolina. We actually got lucky, because I'm not sure that it was supposed to snow that much.
Even though I don't remember the 1993 storm, I still remember Hurricane Andrew hitting Miami the year before.
Edit: Andrew was 1992. How can I remember something that happened seven months earlier?

Re: Cold
Hey I went to North Carolina this Summer with my Dad. We climed Mount Mitchell Mount Pisgah and I slid down Sliding Rock in the freezing cold (must be even colder in Winter obviously!)!
Ah that brought back nice memories
