Apropos of nothing, clips of series 1 clearly made it into the Us Vs the World specials of American Ninja Warrior currently running on Challenge. However, the Ben and Chris voiceover has been replaced with what seems to be an American voiceover artist affecting an accent. Listen out for it on the Sky on demand platform, it really jars.

It's not just on ANW, the voices are really weird on the clips of NWUK on the Aussie version too. It must be something wrong with the clips because it's either Ben's voice but incredibly high or like you said some kind of American voice actor but I can't see why they would do that or why it would also be like that on other spin-offs when they show clips of it.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK

Just realised I haven't mentioned that they've started filming for series 5 of NWUK. This year's courses are interesting to say the least and contain quite a few original obstacles which is always good and there is at least 1 ANW 10 obstacle. There are also lots of returning competitors as well:

Confirmed returning ninjas:
- Deren Perez (Series 4 finalist - Stage 3 + ANW competitor)
- Dion Trigg (Series 1/3 Semi-Finalist, extremely dedicated)
- Corbin Mackin (Series 1/2 finalist - S1 Stage 2, S2 Stage 1)
- Toby Segar (Series 1/2 Stage 2 finalist)
- Teige Matthews Palmer (Series 1/2 finalist, S1 Stage 2)
- Tim Champion (Series 1/2 finalist, S1 Stage 2)
- Ruel Dacosta (Series 2 finalist - Stage 1)
- Ali Hay (Series 3/4 finalist - S3 Stage 2, S4 Stage 3)
- Mike Snow (Series 4 finalist - Stage 3 + AuNW Competitor)
- Sam West (Series 4 finalist - Stage 2)
- Dean Cheetham (Series 4 finalist - Stage 1)
- Jacob Peregrine Weller (Series 3 finalist - Stage 2)
- Paul Allen (Series 1 finalist - Stage 1)
- Chris Sansom (Series 2 finalist - Stage 1)
- Henry Cookey (Series 3 Semi-Finalist)
- Chris DeStefano (Series 3 Semi-Finalist)
- Sian Maycock (Series 3 Semi-Finalist)
- Georgia Munroe (Series 4 finalist - Stage 1)
- Saskia Neville (Series 4 finalist - Stage 1)

Ninjas Confirmed to be NOT Competing:
- Tim Shieff (Was invited but declined due to lack of prize money)
- Katie McDonnell (Busy)
- Jonny Urszuly (Wanted the year to train)
- Cain Clarke (Not invited)
- Owen "The Stuff" McKenzie (Not invited)
- Brendan Riley (Not invited in favour of competitors from earlier series)
- Sebastian Foucan (Didn't Apply)

What do you think of having The Escalator in every Qualifying round? I like the obstacle (and want its return in an ANW regional to finally happen), but having it every time might get old? Better than Dancing Stones six times over tho.

Luckily they've swapped it out today for the spinning bridge (5-ball version from last year)! That means they must be using each 3rd obstacle twice which is good coz I thought they were doing it for all the heats too, like they did in series 1 with the dancing stones, and as much as I like escalator I agree that would be really boring.

Yeah it's good to have some variety. Particularly when it's the balance obstacle because there's only one of those per course!
