Re: Ninja Warrior UK
I've still not bothered to get a SM account but I saw one guy on there say they film NWUK in an old aircraft hanger. Someone who's also got an account on that please tell him it's actually Manchester's old train station - hence the name 'Manchester central'

I haven't seen that comment. But if you find it, I'll post it for you.
EDIT: Never mind, just found it!

I was just watching Tim Shieff's run on YouTube
[SPOILERS:]
I like him a lot, but that showing-off rubbed me the wrong way. I understand it, and I cracked a smile at it, but it went on too long.
Anyway, great to see someone clear Stage Two and get deep into Stage Three. I don't think I've ever seen someone flip backwards on the Flying Bar before!

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
I know, maybe it's down to the fact that he had to complete all of stage 2 as well so he was just exhausted.
My thoughts on this season:
Really liked how they included a lot of newer obstacles like Tick Tock, Broken Bridge, Flying shelf and the list goes on. I also liked how they actually invited back some competitors other than Owen and Katie this year - happy Tim was back but it still wasn't nearly enough. It was also nice to see a few international competitors eg. Deren Perez, Mike Snow and the one from NW France. Splitting up the final meant we actually saw some full runs and had time to breathe. Definitely the best season yet by miles.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Season tours often seem to be "development" years for our shows. Think this show, ANW and Wipeout (the largest season they ever had) to name a few.
Let's hope this is a positive change, rather than a negative change like Wipeout ended-up taking around that time.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
Apropos of nothing, clips of series 1 clearly made it into the Us Vs the World specials of American Ninja Warrior currently running on Challenge. However, the Ben and Chris voiceover has been replaced with what seems to be an American voiceover artist affecting an accent. Listen out for it on the Sky on demand platform, it really jars.

Re: Ninja Warrior UK
It’s that old “Americans can’t understand any English accent except received pronunciation”. They’d probably think Chris was an unfathomable drunk Australian. Seeing as there are only two accents in the UK, of course.
