Re: Ninja Warrior UK

So I actually watched last week's episode. Well. I watched the first 10 minutes until someone cleared the course so that I could see all the obstacles, then wound through the rest in the hope that maybe they'd more on to a different course and I could continue watching. They didn't.

And I now understand how annoying that Kammy is. Wow emoticon I thought he was alright last year but what the hell has happened? And they pumping laughing gas up to that platform they stand on?

So the US version had obstacles in their Stage2/3 course longer than the entire second course in tonights final.

If producers really want this to take off properly in Europe they need to get a full course up and running in Europe. The arena course is fine for the qualifiers and they just about get away with it for the semi-final (which I guess is supposed to be the equivalent of Stage 1), but for the final stages it's just simply too small.

Well that's another series finished.

The last guy that ran got a 'Last man standing' medal, he technically got the furthest i.e. at least touching his hands on the first part of the hanging bridge, although he also (just by ordering), happened to be the literal last man to run the course.
So we don't technically know for which reason he was given the medal for.

Also because we don't know what item would be given (medal/trophy etc.), to an actual winner then we don't know if the actual winner would be just given another medal.

I've not seen it but are you sure the fact that he was the literal last man in the competition wasn't down to the editing?

What ever reason it is that they're so determined to do it indoors is limiting them on the size of course they can build. All the while they do it in that hall it's never going to get any bigger.

I think they're filming or editing season 3 about now, I forget which.

I saw they included the I-Beam Cross in one of the Qualifiers - it's like they want no one to clear! While, maybe the guy who gets closest to finishing it can win the "Last Man Standing" prize emoticon

OK, I gave this a fairly easy ride the first couple of series despite it's obvious limitations, mainly as I was thankful it was a Saturday show that didn't involve judges or singing.

However it's now gone from must watch to record and Fast Forward through, and it's even got to the point where I was lamenting the loss of Total Wipeout (yes, Total Wipeout, not even Wipeout) this week. The repetition on this makes it look like Total Wipeout built an entirely new course every single week.

I watched one episode last week, and yes, it's bad. It amazes me that anyone can sit through a whole hour of the same five things over and over. Also they spoil everything in the 'Coming Up' before ever break, so you know where the next bunch of people fail before they've even begun.

Bafflingly people seem to be watching it though.

Unless something's changed, I think the course is six obstacles Mr. Dan

Also the fact that I really wanna watch it. Call me boring but I don't mind the six-obstacle spread. As long as they use different and news ones each week.

It wasn't interesting enough for me to count them.
