Re: Begiragons - Online Japanese Gameshows

This is a shame emoticon I havent watched in a while but I did in September and actually really wanted to have a channel like his.

Quote:

He's been going over ten years and hasn't got to 75% of this 1 million subscribers target. Not quite sure how it'll be possible in just seven months

I think that's the point (although it is possible) - he's trying to quit.

I will subscribe at least

True.
I mean they ended Begiragons because they didn't have enough subscribers, so Megwin's TV is going to go the same way.

Maybe he's finally breaking into TV?

Yeah, he's been uploading about 1 video a day for like 12 years - his play count is through the roof, even if he doesn't have so many subscribers! I guess he must've just gotten fed up with it and is thinking about doing something else.

Although, I just spotted something that doesn't quite add up - Megwin TV (as a company) are recruiting. I guess they wouldn't bother doing that if the whole thing was going to fold in a few months, so they must be planning something - specifically they're after people to plan and edit videos and stuff like that. Maybe if Megwin, Bandy and co leave, they'll pass the torch on to someone else?

I still love the idea of the London train game too emoticon .

Well the plus-side is that I've probaby not even cracked the 1% mark on watching all of his videos so I can catch up emoticon

It'd be cool if they at least get a new good crew that works and makes the same type of videos and follows the comedy formula correctly. Although they have to know what they're doing - as proven by Justice and co. They also need to keep it going even if they lose some subscribers - as Justice and co. prove emoticon

How about building a "House of Gold Challenge to get the channel back in shape?! ([sign in to see URL]

Silver? Bronze? Aluminum?

Also, seems like our complaints are being made known by other BEGIRAGONS viewers (although Justice probably isn't looking):

There's a comment on there that says:
Quote:

Just got in contact with Haruka via his Bomb Arrow twitter, he says he doesn't work for Begiragons anymore.

So that answers why there's been nothing since Halloween.

He didn't really get much of a chance. And what happened to that second Combini Game? They filmed it but never released it.

Well, he did seem to be losing them subscribers at quite a rate, which is pretty bad news for a youtube channel, so I guess they decided to cut their losses pretty quick emoticon .

It is a shame, but at least we still have the stuff they made to watch whenever we want emoticon . Plus if they're recruiting for new people to plan and make videos at Megwin TV, maybe there'll be something similar from them in the near future. I've actually been wondering about applying, as it just so happens I'm looking for work in Japan right now - there's one way to try and get more stuff like that around, I'll have a go at making it myself emoticon .

One thing that stuck out to me in the job description they posted was that there are words to the effect of your working hours depending on the "programme" you're responsible for, so I kind of wondered if maybe the channel will host different people at different times or something like that - like when they did Begiragonses. It's just conjecture, of course, but it seems like that's one way it could go, which could be very interesting to see emoticon .

The more I've considered it the more I'm scornful (not in the mocking way emoticon ) of the new people idea. I just think that this is Megwin TV for a reason and having oher people on his channel would just seem wrong emoticon

It'd be one thing if they had Megwin doing guest-appearences every few weeks but if they're just doing similar fooling around, why not make their own channel? emoticon
