TC In 'Not Our Children'

I discovered this two years ago, but I don't think it's been talked about here so I thought I would make a topic for it

In April 1987, the Takeshi's Castle set was used in a school drama called Not Our Children

It seems like all the game play was exclusive to this drama-there's a little behind the scenes stuff too

Just had a quick look at the video, but that's really cool. Well, maybe it's because I don't understand anything, but maybe they should put a little bit more effort into connecting the Takeshi's Castle bits to the storyline.

I think they're just showing clips of the teachers taking part in various games to make out as if they took part in the whole show. The story's mainly about those featured kids and the class on a school trip to the studios.

Brilliant find though emoticon

They could only afford for Saburo to appear then, seeing as there are some random people being the General and Blueberry Hill guard! And notice they've got the cannons the wrong way round in Bridge Ball. Amateurs. emoticon

Ah, I see. It makes more sense to me now, I thought it would be the main characters who take part in the show.

Well I guess the teachers must be main characters too, but the main focus of that bit seems to be on the kids. It was probably more of a cross promotion than a proper 'teachers on Takeshi's Castle' storyline.

It's kind of interesting seeing that magazine-cover and imagining how it would look these days. Guess the times have changed.
