I have for few years had annual F1 game at Anything Goes (which I recently took over). We could use a new player or two.
Basically, you pick a driver before each GP (or keep the one you've last chosen) and get as many points as he does.
There's also a separate one-shot Season Start Game where we guess number of things about this season and then see in November who was right.
Re: Formula 1, anyone? I don't watch Formula 1 (or any sport!), sorry. I think I remember someone here saying they did like racing though. Possibly rsmcc?..
Re: Formula 1, anyone? I used to watch it with my father and my grandfather and somebody who could be my uncle if he married my aunt. It used to be more exciting when I was a kid. Maybe I'll join the game, but I might forget after a few weeks.
Re: Formula 1, anyone? Well, whenever you don't post a new choice you'll keep the same driver, so one stays in game no matter how many GPs you miss.
Though it's recommended to change driver at least couple times along season. And I do tend to remind players at end season - as at some point it becomes mathematics that other players must choose different driver than leader to have theoretical chance to win.
Re: Formula 1, anyone? And I've played the games and watched the races since 1998. In my foolishness I started online racing on PS3 last month... that was an eyeopener...
Re: Formula 1, anyone? The BBC Formula 1 'Pits and Giggles' (there's a title that somehow slipped past the censors... ) series used the Star Wars theme used in Flag Down. Gave me a laugh. Was about the only interesting thing about the Japanese Grand Prix this year... Yawn-a-rama. Mercedes are the Empire indeed.
Re: Formula 1, anyone? Thing of note, Mexico's track has a part that goes through a baseball stadium. They had to do that because on the old circuit a crash on the fast bit would have rather inconveniently made the driver go over the track wall...into a main road in Mexico City, the largest city in the world. Eep.
