Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection Ah, that clears that up for me. I was confused, becuae I'd heard before that community service was what many ended up doing, and I thought "that's my kind of national service", instead of just military like Britain does. (dunno if Ireland does)
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection I'm a little late, but yay for a new YH collection. *insert some beat boxing sounds here*
At first I really wondered if they thought that charlie chaplin really ate a real shoe. But it became obvious that they tried to eat a real shoe because it was Haruki. Did it for the fun. Finger tips did eatable stuff once, too. However, they didn't put as much effort into it as those shoe maker guy.
YHShow... it seems like ages since the last episode. The magic episodes were great, they had this classic feel to them and there was no Vanessa. Love their faces after they did the tricks btw. nice inserts
Real Movie action. Those movie sections were always one of my favourite sections. It was interesting to learn the magic behind movies. and lol at the big toy penguin as a prize. I wonder where Haruki put it in his house.
and even more lol at John Hanson, clearly a fan of Yaguchi Hitori and Keshi Heads.
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection When I first saw that squid shoe, before I translated it and found out that it was squid, I thought it was a dog chew. You get exactly the same looking things for dogs made out of pigs skin don't you? So I thought he was eating pig skin
Mind you I wouldn't eat squid either, but that's acceptable
I know, it does seem like ages since YHShow They keep posting messages on Twitter every now and then, so they're still around. And at New Year lots of people tweeted them saying their wish for the new year was for Yaguchi Hitori to return (I sent them one saying that too!), and they posted a message to say thanks to everyone. I hope they are planning to come back because it has been a long time now
I put in the Real Action bit just because of the light getting smashed, and Haruki was on top form. "Real Money", and then "Real Hitting" at the end, made me LOL
Mari got that penguin because she lost! It was a booby prize because it was so massive and useless. She wouldn't have even been able to carry it and see where she was going!!
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection Yay for a new YHC episode
Pirates of the Carribean: I love PopUp Pirate. Bought it once after watching Roll Out the Barrel on Takeshi. It was some sort of merchandising
Trailer Challenge: We had the last clip on KHouTube once, but good to see the other two and the love trailer again. I loved that one, it was quite sweet. And Mari's reaction after watching it was sweet, too.
Take-copter: where can I get one of these? I really miss the Mari and Haruki games. They were always so simple, but so much fun to watch.
Camp da Ahoy..sports bra and some small underwear. I really missed things like this on Monkey Baby and YH Show, some funny missions that weren't that serious. And the camp song was awesome
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection I have NEVER played Pop-Up Pirate!! All my life I have wanted to, but I've just never had the chance...
Seiruosly though I have always wanted to play it!
I'm starting to put some things we've seen before in because they are classic moments that deserve to be included. I'll try to keep it to just one previously used clip per episode though, so 75% will always be 'new'. For as long as I can anyway.
That was the first time a sports bra appeared on the show. That is how The Legend of the Sports Bra began There's lots more Camp Da Hoi to come, and it's leading up to the camping special ep which should be in July.
Camp Da Hoi, Camp Da Hoi, Camp Da Hoi Hoi Hoi
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection I don't mind old clips in there, in fact they have to be there. It wouldn't be a full collection without them and you can watch YH clips more than once anyway. They are just pure gold
Didn't knew that it was the first appearance of the sports bra, but good to see the beginnings
And yeah, that's too expensive, even for a cat helicopter
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection I thought it was the first appearance of the sports bra. Maybe it was it was because this is all the best bits of the show, I kinda guessed it was the first time. Making a 100 yen or less tent, drawing on it and making a 'door' out of it... felt like a Big Art Attack rather than tent building to me.
